Quoting: BielFPsFor some reason I can't install Proton GE in my steam.

I already extract to ~/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d/ but the option doesn't appear inside steam.
Try ~/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/ or ~/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/

Quoting: BigJI’m tempted to buy the new Tomb Raider, any thoughts compared to ROTTR so far? I found that one enjoyable
It's very similar to RotTR, except there are jungles and no Rhianna Pratchett.

It works fine with Proton. Too short though, just two levels for now.

Dicey Dungeons outsold Terry Cavanagh's last two Steam games in the first month
17 Nov 2019 at 7:58 am UTC

with a follow-up to mention in the first month Dicey outsold the lifetime units of their previous two Steam releases combined.
I suppose he meant the amount of money earned, not the number of units sold. Compare review counts for VVVVVV / Super Hexagon / Dicey Dungeons on Steam (4,300 / 15,200 / 1,300) and their base prices ($5/3/15) and take into account that the first two games were dirt cheap so many times in game bundles.

Xeno Crisis is a true action-packed retro throwback worth your time and it's out now

It sure can, but I mean games are being written with multiple platforms in mind. Just a bunch of #ifdefs.

Quoting: GuestI love how they haven't upped it to 60fps, retro style 2d games are horrible at such high frame rates, they belong in the 15-25 area.
wat
60 fps is always better in any game.
Quoting: F.UltraThey released it first as a ROM to the Sega MegaDrive, don't know if the PC version is running the rom on an emulator of they also ported it though.
Commercial homebrew NES/SMD games are usually written in C and cross-platform. It isn't platform-specific assembly language.
Quoting: Guestwhich is a bit crappy because there isn't a cycle-accurate emulator of the SMD yet.
What about BlastEm? It can run tech demos other emulators cannot. Anyway, it's very unlikely that a game (this one particularly) uses some features that need very high accuracy for emulation.

Humble Store is doing a Female Protagonist Sale, plus the upcoming Steam sale dates leaked
23 Oct 2019 at 10:08 am UTC

Quoting: KimyrielleTomb Raider existed before 2014, and that's still the only truly major franchise featuring a female lead I am aware of.
There are Metroid, Bayonetta, Shantae, Beyond Good & Evil, BloodRayne, Perfect Dark, No One Lives Forever, Portal, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Fatal Frame, The Longest Journey, Syberia... Not series but still big games like Alien: Isolation or Control. Also, if a game has several characters to choose from or create-a-character feature, it always has females. I'd say, people who for some reason play as women only have a lot of games to play.
