Why? Don't you see the difference in sprites quality between 2D games made for 720p and 1080p (like SteamWorld Dig)? Watch that teaser trailer in 480p/720p/1080p to compare.

Quoting: GuestNope, it just means nine times better resolution.Don't "fully redone 4K visuals and new particle effects" mean updated graphics?

Quoting: rea987Remaster for a 2012 title, is that really necessary? How about much much older titles?It was made for old and weak consoles with 1280x720 resolution. 4k means nine times better graphics.

I played the Windows version recently and didn't like this game at all. It's boring, ugly and repetitive. I would recommend to avoid it.
Cendric, a strange blending of an RPG and a platformer is now on Steam, it's also open source

I like the remark from https://github.com/tizian/Cendric2/releases [External Link]:
Limitations
! Some level files won't load ! (in the Linux build, they will)
Cutscenes are not entirely done yet (in the Linux build, they are)
Citra, the work in progress Nintendo 3DS emulator now has a much improved OpenGL renderer

It doesn't work in Ubuntu 17.10 too:
They should release it as AppImage, like rpcs3.
But I could successfully build and launch it with
./citra-qt: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_4' not found (required by ./citra-qt)
./citra-qt: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.27' not found (required by ./citra-qt)They should release it as AppImage, like rpcs3.
But I could successfully build and launch it with
git clone --recursive https://github.com/citra-emu/citra
cd citra
mkdir build && cd build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DUSE_SYSTEM_CURL=1
make

Quoting: NanobangHow is that pronounced? Is it "Smach" like "smock?" or is it pronounced "Smach" like "match," only with an "S" in front? or is it pronounced like "smack?" My wife point out that it could also be pronounced "Smash," so there's that, too.It's "steam machine" reduced, so, probably, "smash".

So, how many years old must be games to be considered old enough for wrapping?

What I want from a Linux port of a game:
1. To see it when I launch the Linux Steam client;
2. To be able to click "install" there to get it downloaded;
3. To play it with not-so-bad performance;
4. To have controller support if possible.
The rest doesn't matter for me.
AFAIK, source code for Saints Row 1&2 was lost, so VP port is the best what we could have on Linux for SR. It's either this, or nothing. Would nothing be better?

Did they fulfil every request of 2017? My most wanted game is still Batman: Arkham Knight because it's awesome and it's the only open world game which is not boring.
Choosing from games of 2017, I'd pick any Bethesda game (Prey, Wolfenstein 2, The Evil Within 2), because Bethesda is the saviour of singleplayer AAA games.
