AMD announce the Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT

Today we also see the worldwide availability of the AMD B550 chipset, the first to support PCIe 4.0
As far as I can tell, B550 is only PCIe 3.0 on the chipset but you do get some PCIe 4.0 from the CPU if you are using a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU. X570 is almost a year old and provides PCIe 4.0 from the chipset (not enough lanes to optimally run a GPU, but a PCIe SSD would run great), along with more from a 3rd gen Ryzen.

If you like zooming out to take a screenshot, here is a command to try:
/c game.take_screenshot{resolution = {x = 6000, y = 4000}, zoom = 0.5, show_entity_info = true}

Feel free to tweak it as you wish for really nice large pictures of bases. Protip: Convert it to a slightly lossy webp, or something other than PNG at least to reduce the filesize if you want to send it anywhere online, when you start going for very high resolutions the filesize can get to the 100s of MBs.

Good luck on the rocket!

Naval RTS 'Victory At Sea Pacific' to have over 120 types of ships and planes

Looks interesting, although, whats up with Churchill talking over a game based in the pacific? Wouldn't that be more suited to the Atlantic and hunting u-boats?

Free and open source RTS 'Zero-K' releases on Steam on April 27th
12 Apr 2018 at 11:51 pm UTC

Looks like they will allow downloading from their site again after the release on steam. It is also still possible to download the game from their website, it is just the instructions have been removed for now.

Korhaka - Today at 12:34 AM
played on/off since 2010 or so, really dont want to have to use steam to play if i can avoid it

GoogleFrog - Today at 12:34 AM
it seems that the site downloads are not on the main site.

GoogleFrog - Today at 12:35 AM
the main download will be back on release. I think we're avoiding any early influx using the site infrastructure

Free to play MMO 'War Thunder' has a big update with a revamped game engine
15 Mar 2018 at 10:40 am UTC

I played the update last night, graphics pretty broken for me and another guy I know that uses Linux. Tried again today after a small patch was released and its now less broken. Cant confirm if large FPS drops exist still for Linux, but I have heard it from others last night and did not test long enough today to find out as the shadows are still fairly broken.

The game also warns when I start it that Linux performance may be reduced ever since the 1.77 update came out.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 RTS announced by Paradox & Eugen Systems (UPDATED)
3 Mar 2017 at 6:14 pm UTC

So is it confirmed the game will not be on Linux? Or just that it has not been confirmed to be coming to Linux. I had hopes this would as Wargame was on Linux, and this looks like Wargame: WW2, although on a smaller scale.

FortressCraft Evolved has a massive update with a better tutorial and a fresh new look for the worlds
1 Feb 2017 at 4:01 am UTC

I have been watching some of the dev streams, I think the UI is being improved soon, cant remember the exact order but I think adventure pack and improved UI were both coming over the next couple of months. The developer is very active on discord and often streaming development.

This update also vastly improved the tutorial.

War Thunder officially released with a huge update and a sale on premium accounts

Keep in mind most people are not playing through steam. This morning I looked and saw it over 60k online.

I would suggest you try all the game modes at least a few times, tanks and planes, arcade, realistic and simulator.

Then of course sometime next year we are getting naval forces, more patrol boats really, with maybe a frigate as the largest for players to control. But with AI capital ships. At least thats what I last heard the plan was.

'The Last Leviathan', a physics-based, ship building and destruction adventure game in Early Access for Linux

Somewhat reminds me of From the Depths which I have already put hundreds of hours in, and probably will put hundreds more. How does it compare? Looks rather simplistic in comparison, although I do like the age of sail theme you can do just the same in from the depths - which reminds me with I really should make a mod/world/campaign for that in from the depths.
