Stellaris: Apocalypse is due soon & there's a new overview video up, also a note about Linux sales

Without a SteamOS-based Linux console, the sub 1% statistics aren't going to change. We need a company with huge resources that can actually pursue this and break the duopoly of PS4/XBox. Valve isn't committed to this, it must be someone else.

knroGot it yesterday since I used to bike quite a bit when I was in college. It worked flawlessly even on SteamLink. Is this based on UE4? All my UE4 games just display green screen on SteamLink.
It runs on Unity.

Get thinking, as Feral Interactive are teasing another new Linux port

Hands down Tomb Raider! I bet if Feral opens this up for voting, this would be the #1 choice by some hefty margin! Give us RoTR!

I rolled another character in PoE after finishing Tyranny. Really can't wait for PoE2 enough! NOTHING out there is even close to the quality of those games. Guess I will continue playing PoE until PoE2 is launched eventually.

Hex: Shards of Fate, a digital card game, has unofficial Linux builds available

I registered an account at Hex but it seems I cannot login properly. After I login, if I go anywhere on the page, it seems I am still logged out so can't post on the forum or do anything else!

Anyone else has this issue?

Killing Floor 2 for Linux is 'indefinitely on hold' as they can't find a developer

Well, given Linux users are like %0.25 of Steam users, why would they even care? They chose D3D which can target over 90% of the potential users out there.

Turns out Linux market share on Steam did not go back up in December

This isn't going to change anytime soon. Hell, even if PUBG is released on Linux, you won't see a significant difference in the numbers. People will just use whatever everyone else is using: Windows.

The _only_ chance Linux would see any increase is if there is a successful console out there that is based on SteamOS. Just think about it, would Linux be dominating mobile market if it wasn't for Android/Google? No way, it would probably be even less than %0.1 worldwide.

So, just be thankful we have developers who are willing to release games for this sub 1% market. The good news is that many tools now (UE4/Unity5..etc) make it a lot easier for developers to release for Linux, and so no significant downtime is required to support extra platforms as it was before. As this trend continues, along with Vulkan becoming more stream, this should lead to more games getting released on Linux as a by-product of these technologies maturing.

A Linux version of open-world RPG 'Seven: The Days Long Gone' is a realistic option

Seems very console-like controls? That usually puts me off as a PC gamer. Sure, having controller support is nice, but keyboard+mouse control is also great. I don't want to click in 3 different places to perform one action.

The big Albion Online 'Kay' update is live, it's also on sale

marcelomendesI sometimes think in buy this, since Shroud of the Avatar is unplayable and buggy. But the PVP oriented aspect makes me think twice. I'm really happy playing GW2, even if not native. Still waiting for THE MMO of Linux world. For now I'll stick with GW2.

I'm in the same boat here. Tried Shroud of Avatar but it's still too damn buggy. Playing Elders of Scrolls Online now but there are bugs still under Wine, and I have to boot in Windows to play it (it's the only game there). No open-world Linux MMO is decent today. I tried Albion but the graphics and mechanics just did not suit me. Only thing that reliably works under Wine is World of Warcraft.
