Quoting: liamdaweI'd better not have to pay for them, then there would be an outcry.Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTMost certainly they will either sell those in the end or give them to us for free. At least after the game is finished finished.I think they will too, probably in the form of a "season one elusive targets" pack. Would be a shame of they didn't.

Quoting: GuestThat's the most gimmicky thing I've ever heard of. A level that is only available to play for a certain period of time and only lets you try it once? How about noFirst off, That's the entire point of Elusive Targets. Secondly, dude, It's just for fun. Chill.
Quoting: Guestand take back control over your own games. Glad I didn't support this. Publishers need to learn to stop ruining games with their gimmicks. Let us play them when we want, how we want, with no strings attached. Please explain to me how you'd advertise a game then without a Gimmick? Also, Hitman is a Sandbox game, the entire point is to kill targets in different ways. Screwdriver to the head, Scissors cut on the throat, Fireaxe to the forehead, Poison, Drowned in the toilet, Explosive Golfball, Falling... the list goes on.

HITMAN for Linux officially announced, port by Feral Interactive and arriving this month

Quoting: GuestThe game doesn't kick you out if you go offline, it puts you into the offline profile and you can continue the mission you're on.Quoting: EhvisBut if you check the actual reviews, it's mostly about DRM/Always online stuff. Which I highly doubt will be relevant to the port and is certainly not relevant to the gameplay. It’s relevant to the gameplay if the game kicks you out while you are playing if your internet goes down, as I’ve read.
BTW I hope the game will work on Gentoo unlike Tomb Raider that stopped working recently (thankfully I played the game before it happened). (And yes I know it’s a terrible bug report but eh…)

Quoting: EikeAlso Bonus episodes and such. I'm taking a guess that season 2 will be released simultaneously, given the nature of the game.Quoting: veccheri'm still confused by hitman's episodic system, all episodes will be avallyable to linux or just the first?"Comlete first season", that's all episodes!

Quoting: Dribbleondoif what I've been reading is (still) true, it kicks you out mid-mission if you lose connection for any reason. It's not "The Crew" levels of kicking you out, so it's not THAT bad. It allows for you to retry connecting without quitting the mission. But yes, if you can't reconnect, then you have to restart the mission in offline mode. Annoying? yes.

Quoting: camocelticI have to say, if this does turn out to be the new Hitman, I'm not supporting it. Ignoring the "I hate always-online DRM" argument, I have satellite internet. It's naturally a bit spotty, and some things just don't work, probably thanks to the latency. I'm not going to pay for a gimped version of the game, seeing as how progression seems to be locked if you play offline. Hitman would be the perfect game for me if it weren't for that major decision. The game has an Offline Mode, which carries over achieved suits and weapons, you just can't see your score or do elusive targets =P. You can alos do the story completely offline if you really wanted to, you just need to be online to Unlock anything.
On a lighter note, here's one of the branches.
