God-game city-builder 'The Universim' continues to evolve with the latest update out now

Looking forward to more stuff from these guys. They really take their game seriously and have been great at communicating and explaining things all the way from the Kickstarter campaign.
I do agree though that it feels more like a city builder than a god game so far but it looks good and have a lovely charm.

DRM has been blown out the airlock, as X4: Foundations for Linux is now on GOG

I love this game. I played it exclusively for 3-4 weeks when I first bought it and will pick it up again. I played it with the beta 4 of this patch so I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

There isn't as much hand holding as some may want and I'm totally fine with that as I expected it from having played X3 a lot. It's actually one of the things I like about it. The UI etc. needs to be improved but if you have the patience you will be rewarded by trial/error and sometimes just a couple of brain cells will get you there. It does have bugs but saving often is a must anyway as you will have other surprises. That does not mean that I have encountered anything that have been game breaking yet (progress) and I have only had a couple of CTDs in 350+ hours.

I went into this knowing that the guys making it will support it for a long time, have great forums for bug reports and devs that care and interacts with the community. Small company so things takes time. There's already a lot of mods and there'll be a lot more as the time goes. It's kind of like the truck simulator games from SCS.
Lots of guides, YT videos, wiki stuff (also from egosoft themselves) to help you when you need it. I've had to look things up even though the tutorial showed me something 40 hours ago cause.... yeah you forget :P

It is as relaxing/stressful as you make it but you need to give it time. It's kind of like an MMO where no single part will win an award for best in class but where the overall feel is the big winner if you get hooked.

Slime Rancher is getting another big free expansion soon, plus a sweet looking cosmetic DLC

I'll be more than happy to give these guys some more $. Used a lot of time in this game and it has been the best EA experience I've ever had.

Quoting: dpanterAlways good content in a nice small package. What is going on with the audio though? Very low volume this time and strange compression artifacts. Like you are pushing too strong mic pop filtering + compression or something.
On the video and the ogg/mp3 or just one of them?

Could you give me any timestamps? I've gone over with both speakers and headphones and to me, they all sound really clear so I'm a little confused :(
If you play ep 12, then 13 at the same audio level you should really hear the difference.

It's not the biggest issue in the world but it was just so noticeable compared to other YT videos I watch.
The MP3 files are the same btw.

Quoting: liamdaweOh don't worry, it's not too much trouble. Just wanting to know how much interest there is, as it usually has very little in the way of comments :)
You must be doing something right then ;)

But yeah, I agree with dpanter, the volume was a bit low this time.

Farm Life, the Match 3 game about restoring a farm has been released for Linux and it's lovely

Quoting: gurvI wanted to buy it unfortunately it's not on steam (or GOG) and you need a Paypal account to buy it!
Like WTF!
It seems these days it's impossible to make a guest payment with Paypal.
I really hate Paypal :><:
Isn't there an option to select "pay with credit card or something" without actually having a PP account?
There is on some other sites I've used and that worked fine even though PP is processing it.

Not a fan op PP either but they're too big, like google and all the others :P
