Quoting: hardpenguinGood. It's time for gaming companies to take responsibility for spaces they own but opened to public.Define actively harmful. I send my Turkish lady friend a joke about hitler and khm... sex toys, and it contained swastika. Or swastika MADE of sex toys. Which she loved and was laughing about. Am I actively harmful? Its just power grab by crazy people in head of state of AU. Nothing else. Anyone who is not opposing it is brain washed.
You would ban an actively harmful and violent person out of your bar, football pitch, or book club, wouldn't you? This is the same.

Quoting: Liam DaweSo you want to tell me it levels on vehicle AND skill? Also, crew? free tier AFAIK - can not be rested more often, so inherent advantage there. AND models of vehicles not available to free players. The fact you don't know it well enough gives disadvantage, even if paid for vehicles are worse.Quoting: dimkoYour comment doesn't really make sense. You get matched up with people around the same vehicle unlock level as you regardless of paying or not.Quoting: BalkanSpyIf you have not grinded, and you are in the queue against guy who did - who will win?Quoting: dimkoPay to win game got expansion, hooray! It's not a pay to win game, it's a pay to skip the grind game.
Even if you win in team vs team, you - will be cannon fodder and he will be cannon fodder killer. Much fun!

I have no problem if I had to pay to play game. One time fee or 2$ a month. All on equal terms.(and yeah, i get it, progression and all). But not current way...

I am generally an asshole.
And here I won't be exception.
I sunk thousands of hours in 7DTD, I IS a good game.
But for decades all improvements were pure coming in regards to looting tweaking/vehicles and increase of textures of the game.
When comes to actual coding - game was and still is in poor optimization state.
I have decent rig. 7900 XTX, 1440P. I have mid/high settings without path tracing but with ray tracing and without frame generation, 60-100 fps, in Cyberpunk 2077, usually around 70-80 FPS. It looks fantastic.
This game, 10 years in development, looked like shit 10 years ago, still does now.(it did improve, but again, at expense of textures + added a few nice lightning effects). Outside of major cities - it performs A OK. Not an eye candy, but around 100 FPS. But go inside of mid/high populated cities and its a slug fest.expect frame drops, and 40FPS. Still no human/raider AI yet.
I wonder how much performance is shit to do with the fact that all environment but traders is completely destructible?
But yeah, looks like someone is about to retire.

Quoting: Mountain ManI am gonna be pedantic. YOu contradict yourself. You said earlier they don't want to sell games.(which is what I am outisting about), but i get your point now.Quoting: dimkoWhen someone buys a PlayStation, they're naturally going to want to buy games for it, and when they buy a PlayStation game, Sony gets a bigger cut of that sale than they would selling that same game on PC. The more games someone buys for their PlayStation, the more vested they are in the platform, and the more likely they are to buy the next iteration of the console, and the cycle repeats.Quoting: Mountain ManSony doesn't want to sell games, they want to sell PlayStations and lock customers inside their walled garden. What is profit from locking someone into their walled garden? Define it and explain how it benefits them. :D

In a perfect-Ish world
PS4/PS5 runs on a heavily modified version of FreeBSD OS which is similar but not the same as Linux.
Instead of porting their exclusive games to Windows, why not making the Linux only exclusive. In doing so, Microsoft/Xbox next-gen will not be able to run them.
Am not a developer but since the kernels are similar, wouldn’t porting to Linux be quicker than Windows?
Doing so, they can still put their games on Steam or their own store/launcher
