Quoting: SmalokiWhile I really like the game so far, I haven't played nearly as much as I would have if it worked properly. Performance is perfectly fine, but the game crashes at random (using a FX 6300 and a GTX 760 with Nvidia's proprietary drivers). I have no idea what's causing it... there even was a thread on the Steam forums about this a while ago as well. Maybe they actually fixed that by now. I should probably give it another try.
practically the same setup as me and i assume you run ubuntu also, perhaps one silent crash to desktop but im not sure, i dont think it ever has crashed for me.
On AMD Cpu's you need to use 2 core's or less, that will stop the crashing (Not sure if Intel have this problem).

Right click on BioShock Infinite in steam, then go to Properties, then click "Set Launch Options" then enter:

taskset -c 0,3 %command%

Click ok, then close the Properties window then play without crashes, FPS might not be as good on 2 core's, Depends on the ghz of your CPU, runs 60+ on high with AMD 8350 and GTX 960 on 2 core's.
I was the guy who started thread in steam, where the "solution" was offered. It does delay but doesn't solve problem. And no, Linux gentoo user is here. But as said, only other game that gives me grief - Witcher 2. So I really don't think it was anything else.

Game constantly hangs after a few minutes, where it can be 2 inutes to 20 minutes. Impossible to enjoy.
I reported issue to devs, no reaction.

Issue only happens in Bioshock and Witcher.

ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Reviewed

Quoting: keikiAnother point. Have you tested a gaming mouse for Linux so far?
I am heavy Computer user.
I had from Roccat: 5.1 Dolby Surroud Sound headphones, 2 mice.

Personal experience says:
1) Their hardware is rather fragile.
2) Hardware Support is good. Well, I am tech support guy, so I could talk their language and arranged to get replacement, which I never did, I couldn't bother.
3) Wifi mice are bad for you.(if you live in crowded house, other wifi devices are creating trouble) It's not Roccat specific, I guess, but... I would still mention that, as it affects them.

So... out of 2 mice, 1 wifi is still alive with my mom. It was cheapest one and sucky one. But I got their software for it. It was an eye opener. While software is not technically theirs, it's OSS project and a very nicely done one. So far it's best Linux peripheral I have ever had, JUST BECAUSE OF SOFTWARE.

Second mouse. Not expensive one, around 50 EU or so.(they have better ones)
After couple of years(of frantic usage, I am MMORPG and first face shooter fan, big time), side buttons on the wheel are starting to fail. I probably need to disassemble mouse itself and just clean it. But right now I am unemployed with 0 social help from country where I am based, and loosing mouse, that potentially helps me find a job is not an option. So screwdriver would have to wait.

Mouse will still work without software, if you fail to install it or if you can't be bothered, it's just you wont be able to program it.

All in all, I wouldn't buy their keyboard for 140 Pounds, but I would recommend mouse, as it's good value for money for Linux geek.

Quoting: GuestThey have a very long and unreadable EULA… -> no thanks.
I wouldn't consider a long EULA a good reason to avoid a game, Paradox, probably the most Linux friendly publisher, have an even longer EULA and Steam EULA is as long as the two put together...

Kind of a bittersweet feeling here as well considering how they treated Liam but I guess I'm glad the Linux port finally arrived (also because I was a backer!)
Tell me, have you ever fully read GPL3 license?

GOL’s first monthly hardware survey EDIT
8 Sep 2014 at 3:17 am UTC

the questionnaire is somewhat questionable.
i buy games when I believe they are good. In one month i can buy 5 on another nothing. I don't just buy every crap out there.

Also, about compiling steam machine...
It's sorta weird question. I compile my own PC's, if its better than steam os PC, does it qualify?
