What? Nvidia has an open source driver that is better than AMD's right now in terms of performance. Hell, Nvidia is even HELPING make the OS driver better.

Try installing the terminal program called "terminator" and run Steam from there, and then launch the game. For some unknown reason, this often works. Hopefully the new drivers will come out soon... I downgraded to 304.x and haven't had issues since.

I thought it was my system... so many games work now... MetroLL and SirYABH to name a few.

I agree. Not interested. Haven't bought a bundle in ages...used to buy them left and right for no apparent reason.

And stop heckling the man (Hamish) just because you don't agree. He's not forcing anything on you. Also to the "donate to EFF" comment, some people already support a number of charities/distributions/projects/GoL ;) to the point where donating to EFF doesn't make financial sense or serve a legitimate interest (most people don't know/care what EFF does).
