Finally got around to installing Wine 6.0... I tried out AIO-Sandbox 1.9, which creates a light-weight WoW server for older versions of WoW that can be viewed offline. It is very light-weight in that there are no NPCs, monsters, or quests. It just lets you run around in the game world offline, which is actually pretty neat. I had earlier gotten an older version of AIO-Sandbox (1.5) to work with Wine 5.0, but I could only view WoW alpha/beta builds with that version. AIO-Sandbox 1.9 lets me see TBC/WotLK content...

For anyone interested, it can be downloaded here:

Awesome, great to hear that these guys are having a ton of success with this project. I like the art style a lot. It kind of reminds me of a pixelated version of Vanilla WoW.

I love Linux Mint (Cinnamon). I've been using it as my only operating system (no dual booting) since 2016. No regrets.

There is also an amazing mod for Daggerfall Unity, DREAM, which provides higher resolution replacement art for the game's original assets.

Looks amazing. Definitely the most impressive FOSS RPG project that I have seen to date (no offense to Flare).

Facebook are now funding the open source 3D creation suite Blender

Quoting: barotto"Please log in with your Facebook account to continue"

That was the first thing that I thought of too! I have heard of people who had multiple Facebook accounts, which is apparently a "TOS violation", that are now not allowed to even use the Oculus VR headsets that they bought and own. I would never willingly give any of my money to a horrible company like that. That being said, I will continue using Blender (not that I use it much) and React, because both are free.

I am glad that Unity supports Linux, but like most people here I am more excited about the totally open source projects like Godot, GZDoom, OpenMW, etc.

Always good to hear about more progress on the GZDoom engine!

Here are my top ten favorite Doom wads/conversions:

1. Doom: The Golden Souls 2
2. Hocus Pocus Doom
3. Doom: The Golden Souls
4. Brutal Doom: Hell on Earth Starter Pack
5. Ancient Aliens
6. Pirate Doom
7. Castlevania: Simon’s Destiny
8. Winter’s Fury
9. Spram’s Metroid Doom
10. Brutal Doom 64

Brutal Fate is an upcoming FPS from the creator of Brutal Doom (updated)

Interesting. It definitely looks a lot like Brutal Doom. I wonder if the developer is actually using the GZDoom engine to make it. The engine has already been used to create a few other games, like Sonic Robo Blast 2 and Total Chaos.
