Bit of a thought, I find it quite frightening that the Core of Linux gaming is hanging on whether or not the Humble Bundle and Steam will continue to push Linux. As it seems that those two big names are the ones people are most familiar with. If they quit pushing, it might send ripples of fear through Devs.
I wish Linux Gaming had a few more fronts to fight on. It's a large battlefield and while our army is small, we are very vocal. But are we shouting loud enough?.

This is what I like, a simple but effective Space game. Non-cluttered UI and Sand-boxed. I'm totally there, but life is short and I wish we could have this before the end of Summer heh. I tried the X3 Series, just too complex for me; my brother loves it though.

Steam lists Ubuntu 13.04 as the minimum requirement. The Steam page lists DirectX as a requirement for Linux. So I can't be bothered with this game until they clear the confusion. Any of you using 12.04 with this game?.
It would also be devastating to the Steam box which runs on 12.04. The Video card requirements make no sense either. As a 240GT is faster than a 4870 and they list the 280. I myself having a 6670, which is faster than a 4870 and on par with a 240GT. Anymore info on what this game really runs on?.
Edit: There seems to also be a video card overheating issue from the forums. Guess I'll wait a few months.

I'd definitely be interested in this. Always a nice treat to get away from the super-saturated Pixel-Art games. Yes, I understand a lot of you love them, but I grew up in the 80's and early 90's and have had my Pixel-Art fun already heh ;)
Probably pick it up in a few days. If any of you happen to play it, tell me how good it is if you don't mind. I usually have a lot of trouble buying Games because the descriptions and videos never really tell me enough -- picked up a few 'bad eggs' before. =)
Thanks as always liamdawe for having the #1 go-to Linux Gaming site, at least for me it is. By the way, picked up ZigfraK recently, absolutely amazing Space Game. Fantastic story, has a sort of WoW in Space thing going on. Try it if you haven't already and are looking for a good RPG Space Game. =)

Looks like HIB stepped up to the plate for Linux users with this one. It's nice to see that, unfortunately I don't see anything I like. I'm spoiled on Games like Torchlight, Zigfrak and Oil Rush heh. But yeah, high five! =)

I got the Universal OS Bundle yesterday, not a bad deal at all. =) Shame about the Humble Weekly, but I kinda expected it sooner or later. =(

Question...I bought this game when it was on sale from his website before. Do you think I would be provided with a Steam Key or are people like me out of luck and need to buy it again?.

It's an old game, but I've never played it. I do like the RTS category though and would probably buy this when it's out. Looks like Runesoft does quite a bit of porting to Linux, we should definitely applaud them.
