Honestly, I haven't been using steam anymore. Those Pixel-Art games were OK at first but I'm tired of them truth be told. But regardless of what happens, I'm not going back to Windows; I don't care if the bottom falls out I'm 100% dedicated.

There is also a Pirated version of this game released by the Company. In the pirated version, after a few hours of playing, you notice that your Games are getting pirated within the Game. It's quite clever.

I recently got into Desura, I like the way the client works by offering me only games that work on my platform, Linux. I wish Steam would do that also, I can't count the number of times I almost bought a game because I unknowingly rambled into a different platform.
And to my surprise, Desura seems to have a lot more games that Steam just doesn't have. Even some AAA titles like Fallout and Freespace. I really like it and Steam is turning out to be a letdown for me as far as Games I want to play.

If Valve was serious about Linux, they should tell Devs that in order to use their Engine, all platforms should be supported from day one since the Engine is native now. And I agree, PC covers pretty much everything and Platforms should be mentioned by name.
Sometimes I wish I had the money for a small Game making company. AAA Linux titles would be our top priority, we wouldn't leave any platform out, but Linux would be tops. Oh well, I can dream. =p

Battle Worlds: Kronos, looks like it might be a fine replacement for C&C Generals for me. Had my eye on Planet Explorers also, so it's looking pretty good. Maybe we can get out of this stall we've been having about Steam adding Linux games; was moving fast then slowed down last month or so unfortunately.

Best thing to do, if they have another Kickstarter for another Game, just don't back it. Interesting thing about Linux coding: I read a lot of Dev blogs and it seems like none of them have any idea how to code for Linux, they blindly port their games.
A few I can think of are the games: "Star Shipping Inc." and "Legend of Dungeon". On Legend, some folks were having some issues and support trying to help but had no idea how to resolve the issue on Linux, didn't even know the file structure.
Also, most don't even have Linux installed, they simply test their game with a VM and LiveCD. It's a really pathetic state we are in right now. But on the bright side, their won't be any new version of DirectX anymore, according to AMD and Microsoft (MS said XNA); so Devs will be forced now to write in OpenGL.

Oh goodness, I hope Devs aren't falling into the whole "Just use Wine" mind-set again. Steam was suppose to change all this, sometimes I wish Wine didn't exist.
I do however, love a good sandbox game. Incidentally, I was just about to buy Towns while it's still on sale, I hope it's as fun as it looks. =)
