I got no sound ingame as well. The discussion thread on steam indicates that this is more likely to happen on Arch, don't know what's causing it tho.

From the last steam patch notes comment section (reversed order):

[Dev]: To everyone:

We created a beta-branch of the Mac & Linux versions of the game, the versions themselves will become available within a few days. We shall make an announcement the second they will be uploaded.

[Random Steam user]: Then pls don't write something misleading like that into that patch notes: "The Linux and Mac versions shall enter an open beta phase of the game."

[Dev]: the open beta will be released within a few days.

This "open beta" is not yet released, is it? The patch notes say something about an beta branch, but even if you opt into it, you can't install Cossacks 3 on linux.

What a waste of time.

Would be interesting to know if you purchase the game on friday, would the sale count as a linux sale even if its "only" in public beta. If this goes into public beta on friday there is no stopping me from buying it.
