You just illustrated my previous points exactly with that very comment a knee jerk reaction that everybody have when they are told "if you're not LGBTQ then yes like it or not you're part of an overarching group that has been abuser" and somehow this is us classifying you as "an enemy" . No not an ennemy an abuser there is clear distinct difference but apparently you don't know that there is one ...
So again you illustrate perfectly the "jeez you don't have to get so aggressive" again you're part of a group that has been the aggressor for millenias on end we are defending oursleves from abuse. The key point is allowing most people to modify the source code and not distribute machine code directly. It doesn’t even have to be open source, just a form of bytecode that can be reinterpreted on the spot.

Again you look at it like a tech minded person, go and try to have that very same convo and say that very same thing to a tech illiterate boss of a company that only sees computers as nothing more than a type-writer combined with a calculator and let's see how well they will react.
Again it's not gonna happen over night and it will take time a time that is measured in decades to reach such a goal. Rather than dream about what could be in the distant future how about we stay grounded and start where it needs to start changing the ways companies are behaving regarding their code and hardware architectures...

Unless things have changed recently, System76 isn't a manufacturer. The sell System76 branded Clevo/Sager laptops.

They have been slowly but surely making custom UEFIs on those Clevo's to get rid of same nasty Intel microcode shenanigans here and there. At the UEFI level they already are system designers both on laptops and Desktops.
And with their new manufacturing line that this article is all about they will start designing their own systems from the ground up.
So yes you're info is outdated and you might wanna check out what they have been up to and how much intel wasn't exactly a fan of their custom UEFI decisions .

Sorry but I'm not sorry to break it to you if it's news for you but yes Abrahamic religions and Jainism have been hardcore homophobic forces for the better part of two milleniums while , in places where the dominant religions were Ravansi , Budhism , Taoism , Shinto , Shugendo , Kali-mata , Vedist beliefs etc etc all those cultures have long history of queer folk not being erased from their history and being equally loved. Heck China even had an Emperor who was so gay that he couldn't even get hard in front a woman leading the court to accept an adoptive son as the legitimate heir and he married his lover and ruled china as a married man to another man ...

I would have replaced the right button grid with a thumbstick, moved those buttons to the underside of the controller (where your fingers are 90% of the time).

It’s actually impressive, it’s a controller where I’ve managed to do as well as with a keyboard and mouse, as long as I don’t need to swap out weapons.

Another issue I have is that it doesn’t work as well on Linux as it does on Windows: it re-triggers when charging from the PC, it doesn’t work with games if you forgot to use big picture mode, and it can only be used with non-steam games if you install a program from a developer that won’t be producing any more drivers.

I like, but it’s exceptionally tough to recommend.

Actually what I would change personnaly is putting three grip buttons on each side . But the face buttons no I would keep them.
On the other hand I would make the triggers have a longer travel it's a bit too short. But I would keep the end press (exceptionnaly great to have an end point press like on the gamecube controller )

But yeah somebody needs to make an openhardware and opendriver version of it .

When my brain decided to craft more of the female stuff and I talk about me in feminine form and somebody tries to correct me these days I just say "no you heard me right, please don't correct me again" . And if they "press the question" because it troubles them to be asked to let it fly I tell them what's going in my brain and how far does the hormonal fooling around that my brain performs leads to in great detail , and if they go "wwwoooaaah TMI TMI Dude" I simply answer "well next time just bloody do what you're asked"

I corrected myself when I was a kid and each time it made me feel horrible and lead to depression and self destructive behavior, but now I won't correct myself and let my brain do its thing . And guess what I feel million times better and don't even need pesky pills no more.

Yeah it's just sad that those are not getting officially translated they are great turn based strategy games, I just don't get Koei Tecmo strategy at times ...
I mean Dynsasty Warriors games are nothing more than Romance of The Three Kingdoms power fantasy trips in beat em up forms and they sell spectacularly in europe , sooo I dunno it's not like we're unfamilliar with that side of chinese history.
Really Koei Tecmo is weird sometimes cuz if they would put in the effort they would make reccord amount of cash with the Romance games ...

It doesn't bother me at all I think nothing of it because again that's just my own cerebral chemistry I can't do jack shit about it. On the other hand boy oh boy does it bothers just about ANY other cis gendered person (male or female) , and that is the real problem yes it is frustrating and dismaying to you that my brain chemistry feels like looping around not taking a fucking pick already , but guess what it's a YOU problem not a ME problem.

You personnaly slaapliedje and others here have been respectful so far and that's yes mainly due to English being a bit less anal about feminine and masculine forms unlike say French or Spanish. So yes everybody has been all right ... over here .. in a moderated forum ... with oversight ... But I have met with my fair share of downright agressive and rabid fanatical borderline religious nut cases wanting to torch me dead yes even in conventions dedicated to FLOSS.
Thankfully most of the FLOSS communities of my region of France have historically been sheltered in buildings of LGBT activity groups so I always had back up when needed.

There was in that very thread two commentators that downright refused to gender Carolyne properly and if you know anything about gender dysphoria and the damages it does to people having gender dysphoria to be misgendered you wouldn't be so flippant.

So again I renew do we need a CoC ? Yes my day to day life is constant testimony about how much we need one.

Yes when Atila marched on Rome it was a scary number of nomadic tribes being led by "The Supreme King of all nomadic folk" so their formula work here for me. Because indeed the real life battles where numbered in the mutiple hundred thousands men and women in arms. And I'm not the only Total War fan to think that way.

On the other hand lots of the titles of the franchise that I don't want because the formula doesn't fit others want it.

Total War Empire is a great example whether you like it or not outside of Napoleon Armadas the other forces were not very big contingents. Heck that's even why despite being French I don't value Napoleon's strategical prowess because well let's face it most of the time he was just crushing his opponents under the weight of sheer number of troops pushing in.
Yet others probably enjoyed Empire precisely because it gave them the possibility to oppose great numbers against Napoleon armies.

In other words the fandom is split between "taking revenge on history fantasy" crowd and "It's a gameplay focused on opposing big contingents of troops so let's use historical setups where it actually led to big all out battles like the game offers" , and CA is quite good at alternating the two .

So saturation doesn't really come quick because every title released right after the one you bought generally ends up being a historical setup you either don't care for , or you don't see fitting the formula.

Now with that reply to you out of the way...
Am I a jackass for thinking "The only three kindgdoms that I want in my Linux box is an official translation of the latest Romance of the Three Kingdoms title" or am I not alone in wanting an official english translation AND a linux port ?
