Linux market share on Steam drops again as Steam continues to grow

With support built into major engines I don't think we are in a decline anytime soon.
In any case I think judging by how many pages GOL has already , I think we have enough games for a lifetime at least :)

Quoting: slaapliedjeI still maintain Ultima VI was the best game (engine wise, story line it's hard to decide, the whole series from U4-9 was pretty good, with 8 being the weakest.)

Ultima 7 was awesome, though I never completed it (got really far, then lost my save game).
Hmm was thinking to try the Ultima games.
Back when i was in college and my windows PC was virused i had to make due with a potato laptop.
A game I played was called Dark Disciples which is somewhat inspired by Ultima and that's where the interest arose in the series.
I did torrent Ultima 9 and played it a bit since I liked 3rd person RPGs like Gothic at the time.

I want to give a few Ultima games a go , just not sure which to try.
The first few ones look a bit bland.
I normally don;t care for graphics much , but even I have my limits ...

Looking forward to this one.
They will miss the Christmas window , but that;s the difference between a dev who wants to put out a game they love and care about and a soulless company pushing a game bugs, warts and all just to meet a deadline.

Quoting: razing32Dominions 4 always got stuck for me when the AI did its turn.
I poke a bit at Dominions 3 since it works and seems to have more nations to play.
That's likely a deadlock in the multithreaded AI. One can disable that feature with a command lime switch.
Would one care to share said command ? :)

Quoting: g000hDoes anyone know if there is a good way to get this working full screen on Linux, i.e. Get past the Main Menu buttons with the mouse. I have used the hack below, which forces the game to play in a window, but don't actually want to play it in a window (as I'm on 4K screen and the window mode is pretty small).

Properties>Set Launch Options>"-screen-fullscreen 0"

I haven't messed around too much, but I expect there might be a way to jump to full-screen mode after getting past the main menu (where the problem occurs).

Asking this on 30 Nov 2017, quite some time after this GOL article was released.
