Brawl of Ages, the fun and free to play 1 on 1 simple RTS game has a progression revamp

Now you unlock cards with either Valor (earned by playing) or Gems (purchased with money).
I use to play WOT and AW back in my windows days.
Those games felt you could either progress by having time or by having money.
Hate that style of mechanic in Free to Play so much. Made me waste sooo much money on free to play games in the past.
Will skip this for sure.

Enshrouded World, a Leadwerks-powered vehicular combat game has Linux support

I don't want to be shallow and judge a game just by its trailer , but COME ON
I don't mind old looking graphics , I love older games, but this just looks ugly.
Also no real clue how that vehicular combat is supposed to work based on that.

I've been following this for a while but have not seen positive notes on the steam reviews.
Even from people playing quite a bit.

Have you played this Liam ?
Do you plan to do an in-depth review ?

The Unity forums were hacked, but they say no passwords were taken

Kinda sucks somebody did that.
Wonder why though ?
Was it just for shits and gigglez or did somebody have a bone to pick with unity devs ?

Quoting: razing32I think I am playing on normal but not sure.
Have not played in over a week as all the characters I have make things confusing at this point :(
I gave all (transferrable) items to one person to have a better overview. But if you find it too confusing and not enjoyable, better play it on easy mode than not at all. You would have to start from beginning, though, difficulty is not changeable later on.
will get around to it eventually.
Just not in the mood I suppose.

There's a ghost in there that messes with the controls preventing you to get to the penthouse until you get her something.
Not in the easy mode to the very best of my knowledge (which is: I played it today).
Ahhh , my mistake then.

Dawn of War III looks like it might come to Linux

Cool , would look forward to it.
Did drool over the steam page a bit.
If it does get ported will wait for release and see if it is good or if it is rushed and needs some patching to live up to expectations.

Quoting: crabelI recommend to play the game on easy mode first. The riddles are far easier and you know later in the hard mode, what you need to generally do. In hard mode, it is very easy to get lost with the many options, people and places. Finishing the game in easy mode first gives you a general impression what you need to do next.
I played hard mode first and was surprised how much is missing (even several places) in easy mode. I don't think the puzzles are too hard (as you said, not as hard as back in the times) and some things even make no sense in easy mode.

Like when you're reaching penthouse in the hotel, the man there says that the lady in the elevator (forgot their name) didn't do her work correctly - when there's no lady in the elevator in the first place.
Uhm , there is actually.

Diluvion, the deep-sea exploration game now has a Linux beta, but you might want to wait for a bit

Quoting: GuestHow exactly did they build it for Linux without a Linux machine to compile it on? I'm confused by that. Seems like if it was wine wrapped (i dont know if it is) they would still need Linux to make it, or could it be possible to do that on a Mac?

I know its probably a stupid question but I don't know much about the process of porting.
Could be the game engine can generate a game binary on Win/Mac/Linux.
Not 100% sure on that , but I know GameMaker can compile the project to anything from Windows to Android and HTML5.
Guessing something similar for their engine.
