OpenTESArena, an open source re-implementation of The Elder Scrolls: Arena

I wonder if they'll make it less clunky than the original.
From what I recall the first Elder Scrolls game was about as welcoming as a forklift ... built on opposite day.

Quoting: KimyrielleThe only people I feel more sorry for than than the one who backed this project, are the ones who washed hundreds of dollars down the drain to buy starships for a certain space game that will arrive not before the end of their life-expectancy...
Ouch.
Really curios if i see the blow out of said game in my life time.

HopFrog is removing Linux support from Forager and MacOS is not coming now either (updated)

Quoting: SayuriI built my engine myself and had to port my game manually to Linux and macOSX and its not really the hassle the developer makes it out to be? Also, the macOSX notarization process can be automated from the command line, you can just add it to your Makefile and get the notarized build back. Its still going to be a huge confusing hassle, but you're doing it for your playerbase?

Richard Stallman has resigned from the Free Software Foundation and MIT

Curios what is the best way to handle this.
Should an organization terminate all contacts with an individual for their opinions ?

Don't agree with what Stallman said but don't think he should be fired for it/forced into resignation.
They could just issue a statement publicly saying "we don't agree or hold these views" and privately message him"wtf dude"
Not sure how much this applies to him being head of the FSF but those were mailing lists and opinions not a public statement.
And like someone said , a lot of these "news" sites are more clickbait than actual journalism.
Also worried anything someone said at one point that's a bit controversial can be spun to get rid of them.
How many dark jokes have all of us heard and told in private with close friends that we dare not say to random passers by on the street.

Seems we are still figuring out this digital age , and time will tell what it evolves into.

Quoting: hallieballieI really do not understand why systemd is so great, it is an annoying system to deal with.

When you need to debug form a rescue environment, it is very difficult to see what went wrong, to access logging is science these days.

The time with init scripts was heaven, now we are in hell.
When you need to debuf from a rescue environment with the old init scripts you would be lucky if you where able to find any form of logs at all. On a systemd system though everything can be found with journalctl, even things that daemons wrote to stderr or stdout are caught.

As a server admin, systemd is the single best thing that have happened to Linux since the kernel.
I do like the features of systemd but I also think some of the detractors make sense.
It has a feature creep and seems to expand into a lot of things.

It Stares Back, an RTS with a really wild style will be coming to Linux

Interesting concept.
Curios how well it plays.
The trailer was a bit too hectic for me to understand what was going on.:S:

Ouch.
Have not played games with a controller recently.
Hope the modprobe is enough to fix it.

Civilization VI just got a Battle Royale mode in the September update that's live now
14 Sep 2019 at 12:34 am UTC

Seems reactions are mixed going by the comments.
They are jumping on the Battle Royale trend a bit late. A bit very late.
But hey , it's free , not paid DLC so at worst not many people will play it and that's all.
