I do think the footstep is silly but for me more weird is how randomly it gets activated.
Like every other step or so.

The weapons do look like a plastic toy gun.

I hope they offer enough uniqueness by release to stand out beside the behemoths that are Fortnite and PUBG.

Hmm . Price is fair for the offering but I will hold off on the early access.
Wish I could buy a 4-game bundle on a sale to gift my friends. :)

Can you host your own (with friends/ bots) or are you dependent on their servers ?

Uhm , two things :
1. The game start you out at WW2 tanks. Exactly at what tier are they going to be available ? Aka how much grind to play them ?
2. Weren't they working on boats at one point ? Did that get scrapped alltogether ?

These games are good and have an interesting post apocalyptic setting
I only have two issues with them
1.The AI in campaign can get really impossible round mission 4 or 5
2.It seems the only scope is to go to the most powerful units imaginable
There is some countering but if I recall correctly from playing you just need to go as big as possible

Ignorance is Strength is a sequel.
Though it does not follow to closely from the original since you have a pretty impactful choice in the first game
Still , story lien wise it happens somewhat in parallel so I guess that does explain it
