Quoting: EikeLet me try to reply with my (puddle level) GermanQuoting: Purple Library GuyAnd since we want Feral to continue doing well, and since doing a Total War game probably only has an opportunity cost of maybe a third of a different kind of game (because it's so quick and easy to do), I'm getting kind of tired of so many people whining about them taking their guaranteed revenue.I understand all that, and I'm fine with it. But while I'm granting(*) the Total War players each and every port, grant me a little grumbling. :)
(*) (German: ) Ich habe keine gute Übersetzung für "gönnen" gefunden...?

What i found more interesting , though off-topic , someone mentioned porting it to BSD. That's wow.

Quoting: mcphailI'm hoping for a sale to pick this up on GOG. Someone has been working on experimental Galaxy integration for Linux multiplayer. I've made a snap, but haven't been able to test it yet. https://www.gog.com/forum/general/comet_galaxy_client_for_linux/post29 [External Link] .Really cool the community is doing all that.

Seems interesting.
The jump scare thing is pretty cheap so if they build horror and suspense it will definitely be worth a look.
My only minor gripe is the music. I guess it's an aesthetic decision , but to me sounds a bit too chiptuney for horror . Like it needs more voices or something .... dunno :S:

Open source Morrowind game engine OpenMW 0.44 released

Would be cool to see other Bethesda games running in OpenMW at a later date.

Quoting: AnanaceIf you're the one working on this project , thank you :)Quoting: GuestI decided to install it via flatpak. I was happy when I found out it was the newest version. I hope they keep it up to date.I certainly have no plans on ceasing maintaining it. :)
That being said, it seems like we lost an appdata xml update in the process, so the flathub page incorrectly states that it's still 0.43.0
Quoting: GuestNot the same engine, but an upgraded version of it, yes. Theoretically, after they complete 1.0, they could decide to upgrade their project to support other Bethesda games like Oblivion, Skyrim, or the Fallouts. There's a thread on the forum [External Link] that started back on the Ogre version, it's basically a proof-of-concept of loading Oblivion / Skyrim / Fallout content in OpenMW, so certainly far from an impossible thing to do.

Seems interesting enough.
Wonder how it will play though.
Reus was nice , but seemed to try to be a lot more than it was.
Or do you mean more direct control over followers ?

Quoting: x_wingSmells like black & white but without some fun parts (no sacrifices feature? What a shame!)At 0:31 it says "spread sacrifice"

Dunno about this
Golden Wake seemed boring as hell to me because of the theme
Shardlight seemed mediocre at best - something just didn't gel well in that game
Oh well , will wait and see.

I'm curios. Wasn't the same engine used for Oblivion ?
Could OpenMW theoretically run that as well with minor alterations ? OR would it need a huge overhaul ?
Still , cool this project is still going. Even if I did not play it at the time it came out , this one seems to be the Elder Scrolls game with the most depth.
