Quoting: Xpander
Quoting: razing32I'm curios how you found that out.
Really would like to learn this stuff.
Did you check logs and find an error that led you to that ?
Simple :) Rust(another unity3d game) had same issue and i reported this bug to nvidia. They answered with this workaround.

Some other Unity games had this issue as well. Stranded Deep is one of them

Odd it's been an issue for a month.

Quoting: Sputnik_tr_02Just downloaded the game. I needed to add this command to launch options to get the game working. ( Thanks to Xpander )

__GL_GlslUseCollapsedArrays=0 %command%

Game works fine so far, no visual glitches or anything. Loading takes a long time though and mouse feels awkward in the opening scene. Performance is not very good on my system, i hope it gets better.
loading is now like 5-10 sec even when generating new map (on a SSD), first time it took like 2 minutes on the "Cleaning Up" section.

and yeah that command is needed for 396.xx drivers except 396.45
it performs well, looks good and now the input works really good also

Minecraft 'Update Aquatic' is a huge update which brings the new launcher officially to Linux

Quoting: ArthurSo let me get this straight, I am currently running the Java version on a server and on my desktop, but now I can run the so-called Bedrock Edition on my Linux server and desktop? Would I be able to run my old world on the new version just with a more interesting sea, and would it have the same features on Linux and Windows? I am a bit confused at the moment.

Oh and I am also running a couple client-side mods, I guess those won't work anymore if I switch to Bedrock?
Bedrock edition does NOT support linux.
Also pretty sure it does not support any java based mods.
That's Microsoft for you.

The sci-fi mystery game 'The Station' sold around 15% on Linux with low overall Steam sales

I have this but only got a little time to try it out and did not play it properly.
I am glad so many people bought it on Linux :)
Hopefully other devs will notice.

That Zine thing reminded me of the first Deus ex. I looked it up , but that was Zyme not Zine.

Quoting: buenaventuraIs this free or what? I never figured that out. My kids undoubtedly will be happy about this.
No it's not free.
OK, but there is one version that is? When I installed ArchLabs, it offered to install minecraft for me, I didnt say yes, but I got to thinking... Is there a free version or what?
Minecraft in its current state is not free.
There might be an older free version. I know for a fact the Raspberi pi has a version of minecraft for free. So something more basic might be available.

If you want a similar experience for free , try Minetest and use Samsai's mods. They add some extra elements and mobs.

Quoting: razing32Seems interesting , but after getting burned with Towns and Gnomoria I am a bit skeptical.
Still Prison Architect, Rimworld and Rise to Ruins are turning out pretty well , so maybe this will fall in that category.
I just kind of understood that Dwarf Fortress cannot be matched.
But is Dwarf Fortress really learn-able?
Start with the wiki
I'll admit up front I am utter crap at it , but the concept is too damn interesting to avoid messing with

Hope this captures the same spirit.

Chicago 1930, another classic Spellbound game looks like it's coming to Linux

I hope this will be less frustrating than Gangsters 2. That game was infuriating with its time limits for each mission.
Sadly , from reading steam reviews , seems they kept an archaic control scheme.
Will see I guess.
