Attack of the Earthlings is like a reversed XCOM with a little comedy and it's pretty good

Quoting: TcheyYep, 7 or 8 missions with very little incentive in replayability, and very linear progression, make the game enjoyable, but with a taste of unachievement, in my opinion. It's just a small scope game, and i should accept that.

The good point is that it's Action Points based, not the way-too-limited-to-my-taste 1 move, 1 action, but the action you can perform are quite limited actually, but also quite original for a tactical turn based (hiding in cupboard, spawning minions from the biomass gained by eating corpses...)

The fun and humour all around the game is nice if you are into mocking human behavior.

I didn't finish it yet, but i would say it's a decent game, and the devs should be encouraged to do more, next time.
Maybe a DLC/mission-pack ?

trying to make it more like League of Legends and less like World of Tanks/Warships.
As long as the grind is out , I'm in.
I am SOOOO sick of grinding in those style of games.

Hmm. Can't really bring myself to kill humans. But maybe I'll give it a go.
The game that is , not killing humans.

Quoting: wolfyrionActually I beleive that the main reason was that some WINDOWS 10 users were unable to boot there PCs after Microsofts emergency Meltdown-Spectre patch! :D
I've seen a few PCs bricked at work , my boss's included.

Ancestors Legacy, a very interesting and pretty squad-based real time strategy game may see Linux support

Hmm , presentation and graphics look good.
Not sure how good the gameplay is from that trailer alone.
Still ... can't shake the feeling that this feels like the RTS combat part extracted from a Total War game and not much else. Hope I am wrong and the game is fun and interesting.

To be honest I've had this on steam for a while.
But for the life of me I cannot remember whether I bought this on Windows or Linux :S:

Quoting: Mountain ManI can't believe how massively complex these games have become (EU4, CK2, HOI4) I have no idea how Paradox is going to be able top themselves with sequels.
No sequels.
Just endless DLC :P

Quoting: HadBabitsCan confirm that the bug's fixed. The game is now playable, but it is pretty rough. Dumb AI and no kind of narrative to be found, other than a sight-seeing tour of WWII. That said, for the price it's not bad for some cheap shooty action.

Also in a support thread on steam had a funny moment: I pointed out that while the cursor bug is gone, you character doesn't stop moving the camera with the mouse while you mess with your inventory (so as you drag things around in menu your character dutifully swivels their neck about). They said that this was an intended 'effect' for immersion, to 'simulate' someone actually rustling through their bag. Not buying that one, friendo XD
What , they didn't teach you in school about the headbang technique soldiers used to avoid enemy sniper fire ? :P

Quoting: GuestThe future is made for the linux machines. I know it because terminator t-101 model works on linux kernel 4.5 ^_^ It will be a doom for windows 10 based robots because they need to boot themselves every time they need an update! And imagine that happens in the middle of the battle. Not a good vision for windows 10!^_^ Mankind will game on linux....hopefully. Anyway back to earth. It's a long way to linux get even 10% marketshare of operating systems when it comes to playing. One can hope it will happen in a couple of years when win7 support ends.Hopefully:)
Wouldn't be too hopeful.
I was visiting an ophthalmologist last year and I noticed out of the corner of my eye he was still using XP.
Once Win7 support dies some people will still cling to it. But given the free upgrade to win 10 many have already leaped.
Still would be nice to see increased Linux marketshare in corporate and personal.
