This is really nice. Now my PS4 is a lot less annoying to use. To remove the final annoyance I think I will put my PS4 next to my servers because god damn is it noisy.

Quoting: iiariI haven't, but I suspect it uses BattlEye, which probably won't play well with Proton.Quoting: chris.echozDay of Infamy performs pretty all right in-game, but the load times are abysmal on LinuxHave you ever tried it on Proton instead? I wonder if loading times are better for the Windows version.

Day of Infamy performs pretty all right in-game, but the load times are abysmal on Linux and I'm pretty sure it's running on an old and buggy version of Source, as it has bugs that disappeared from more well-maintained Linux games like CS:GO years ago.
Kind of kills the fun of the game when you always get in a couple minutes too late to spawn the first round, and in some game modes that can be a substantial amount of the match.
I'd like to try this mod, but the current state of Day of Infamy makes it not so attractive in my opinion, anyway.

CS:GO as usual, but also played through The Forest (w/Proton) in one sitting with a friend.
Think you're good at CS:GO Danger Zone? It now has Skill Groups for you to show off

Quoting: Whitewolfe80CS:GO remains primarily competitive, and Danger Zone is really just a casual mode to play for warmup or as a distraction for most people. It's still fun, and in my opinion more fun than other BR games, but unlike games like PUBG and Fortnite it's not the primary focus of the game.Quoting: orochi_kyoDid i say i didnt like the game or did you just assume that, that said i had heard it was the worst of the free to play battle royale games. If people are digging it great but i am assuming its dead because i never see it on twitch front page or the channels i watch never even mention it especially the zf which literally play every br do not play that game.Quoting: Whitewolfe80wait do people play danger zone i thought it was a ghost town onlineWhat makes you think that aside that you maybe dont like the game or at least this mode of the game?
It is as easy as press Join and youll find yourself in a match in 2 minutes or less, if you dont live in the Antarctica.
Looks like Valve are developing another new game, something to do with "Citadel"

Of course servers are always more work than simply clicking install, but in the case of Eco, running a server is necessary for Linux users to play single-player, as the single-player mode in-game has never worked on Linux.

Quoting: LakortaHosting a server works on Linux too if you use Mono. It's unofficial and unsupported but I didn't have any problem with the server so far.It can run natively, but it's so much more work than you would expect from someone you're paying to support Linux.

Quoting: chris.echozI have retired my XMPP (who needs this when Matrix exists, duh) server and repurposed the saved cost of the VPS to a $5 monthly donation to GoL.Was my donation received? Still doesn't seem to have made me a "supporter".
Are PayPal donations counted on Patreon? I'm hesitant to touch anything Patreon due to some questionable ethics regarding censorship.
