Should the Unity update itself give any better performance? In my experience the previous build worked pretty well on Linux, aside from performance not being too great.

Good, then there is no risk of me buying it to try it in Proton. Happy to keep my money.

I had never heard of Bearded Giant Games until now, but I love the idea of the Linux First Initiative, and the games look very interesting. I just bought both Ebony Spire Heresy and Roguesweeper and I'm looking forward to playing them. Hopefully I can even squeeze in a little Roguesweeper on my phone while I'm still at work :)
Some thoughts on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s Danger Zone, the new Battle Royale mode

I like this game mode, the small maps, Amazon Prime Air, the fast-paced gameplay, but probably most of all that it's CS.
I've tried some of the bigger battle royale titles like Fortnite and H1Z1, and frankly I don't find them very entertaining and much prefer this game mode.
Hopefully they keep working on it, as it's a nice distraction from MM. It's going to need more than one map over time, though.

Not sure if I dare lower the shader details, in case it makes my expensive pixels look bad... :D

Quoting: liamdawePSA: Does CS:GO Danger Zone crash for you on deployment? Set Shader Detail to Medium, seems to stop it. Highest setting seems to crash 2/3 times.I've been getting this about 1 in 5 games or so. Luckily my friend who is also on Linux has been crashing alongside me most of the time, so we've only had to queue again.

Quoting: liamdaweDoesn't work for me, unfortunately, as I didn't have any gamepads connected in the first place. At least that's what lsusb tells me.Quoting: ageresIt crashes for me too.Unplug and turn off any gamepads, then try again? Seems to be a theme with that breaking it for some.

It also crashed at the black screen for me, with a segfault. Same thing with -nojoy.
Hopefully I can get it working at some point during the weekend.

A developer from Bohemia Interactive wants to know your interest in the Arma 3 Linux port

I'm not a big fan of Discord, but I am a big fan of Arma and would love to see the Linux port get the same updates quicker. Even if they never advertise it or "officially" support it I'd be happy just to be able to join the same servers as other people and be confident I'm not wasting my money by buying the DLCs.

Quoting: IdleGandalfI'll probably just play against bots at first, also to familiarize myself with the new features. If it crashes or gives me trouble I can just go back. I guess what I'm most excited for is just to try it out first hand.Quoting: chris.echozThis is gonna be great! Been checking github for updates on this every day for the past few weeks. Can't wait to get home and try it.Looks pretty good, but it's kinda unstable (surprise, surprise!). It crashed for me three times in one Wingman. So testing it out seems possible, but using it as 'main' UI is only if you are brave (or foolish?) enough.
Besides that it still has loads of little edges and corners which are not quite there yet. Some scaling, some UI behaviour wise and some straight up ctd. (which of course is reasonable for a beta)
