The Funding Crowd 28 (Feb 12th-23rd)

That said, I'm moving house tomorrow and will be offline for a fortnight, so I won't be contributing nearly anything to TFC#29... but I'm sure S.D., Speedster and Muntdefems will keep the flag flying.
And if you, or anyone else wants to get involved, drop us a PM! Even if it's just a write up for a project you love, even if it's just for one issue, we'll be happy to use the help.

Quoting: bcruz111thank you for another high quality funding crowd article, i have a really hard time tracking the good linux projects, i am pretty close to kickstarter burn-out but it is good to see the standards in the gaming projects get so high. please continue with posting these articles and the wiki because they are awesome. Thanks! I hear you on the burn out angle. I was the same around Christmas, but I'm actually slowly getting more tuned again and even if I'm not pledging as often as before, I still love researching and writing about these projects, so the Funding Crowd isn't going away, I hope!

Minecraft 1.7.5 Released With Minor Changes

Yep, nothing to see here. And every time they put a release out that doesn't include a Mod API, you're left waiting for Bukkit to catch up.
I mean, I run 5 little worlds for my son to play on - every release of Bukkit from Alpha, to Beta, to Stable, often a version behind Mojang's official is a pain.

Man, what a relief - this is great news. Portal 2 to play again is superb... once I get my house move out of the way and have a computer again. Argh!!!
And Stanley Parable should be hot on its heel. Amazing news. Superb!

Biggie or not, with only 11 days left, it's clear that Shattered Time is doomed to fail. Such a shame.
The Reason Some Games Are Delayed For Linux In Humble Indie Bundles

I'm with Liam too. Humble values took a nosedive after their acquisition and now even the HiB is giving Linux short shrift. It's great that they started the ball rolling, but now Linux appears to be an afterthought for them.
The more those standards slip, the more the slider to the left for the Humble Tip. I gave $35 for the last bundle, a little more than usual, but I slid it down to two dollars on the Tip for two reasons - Antichamber wasn't on Steam, Giana was dropped.
I've subsequently had Antichamber crash to desktop a couple of times too, the resolution support is flaky and the screen tear is pretty bad - seems like a rush job.
I love Antichamber, and I'm delighted that I can play it on Linux, but if this is folk's first impression of the game under Linux, they're not going to love it as much as me. I wish the Humble guys would have polished it up instead of releasing it half-assed.

Kingdom Rush Tower Defence Game Looking For Linux Testers

It's a great TD game and Linux needs more TD. The world needs more TD!

Quoting: GuestIt’s a good game but it has been freely available for years in a Flash version… http://armorgames.com/play/12141/kingdom-rush [External Link]Yeah, the flash version wasn't balanced very well. Pretty basic and easy. The Android version on the other hand - woah. Super hard. Hopefully they've found a bit of balance with this one.

Antichamber on Linux. I'm a happy man. So, so happy. Dust is a superb platformer - sank many hours into that one. The rest is icing, I'll get round to them eventually.
Dust, Swapper, Monaco and Guacamelee seem to be available on Steam. Hopefully they'll get Antichamber on there soon. Bizarre decision to include Giana.

Bought this, as I remember being interested when it was released for Windows. Great news. Only problem is that Jagged Alliance just released too, now I've bought both. Dilemma! Which to play first...?
