While I know KDE is better on resources then Gnome, I like better how Gnome looks out of the box. That said, since KDE is on Steam Deck I do hope it gets as good as possible as it is kind of how non linux people look at linux now(trough Steam Deck screen)

In my opinion this is the best way for Linux to start getting noticed. No matter how good Linux is, if it does not come preinstalled on laptops/desktops, most people will not bother changing the OS.
Well... this is still targeted to developers, so still a small niche in the market, but it is a start and any laptop with Linux preinstalled is a very good thing.

Linux vendor System76 releases the Pangolin, a full AMD laptop

Quoting: HamishI am assuming they mean RX Vega graphics.

Does System76 solder in the RAM like Lenovo does now? Because that just horrifies me.

EDIT: Nope, RAM is fully upgradeable with two DDR4 slots. Sounds great.

No, they don't. I am going for the european version of System76 and that is TuxedoComputers but I like more the carbon magnezium and more compact(but better CPU performance) TuxedoComputers Pulse 15 Gen 1 . Tomorow I will order it as a work laptop
