The store has been slow for me all day. Pathetically slow. I do understand how overloaded their servers must be, but after all the years they have been running the sales they should have a good idea on what to expect and plan accordingly.
That being said, I will probably pick up Dawn of War II with all the expansions and DLC. I am considering Desktop Dungeons and Infinium Strike but a little unsure of these two seeing how a lot of comments on the former hate the dev and the latter doesn't seem to have much activity at all in the community hub for the last 6 months. (if anyone has some comments on these two, I'd love to hear your opinions.)
I think the better alternative to the steam summer sale may be to just spend my money on the humble monthly and see what I randomly get.

The steam controller is $34.99 direct from valve/steam. That is the same cost as Amazon. However, valve wants $7.99 to ship while Amazon is willing to ship for free (even without prime)

My wallet is about to scream out in pain as I try to push it to do more than it should. It might not recover until the winter sale :)

It may be wise to wait a little while. The Steam Summer Sale is rumored to start today in 2 hours (1pm EST, 5pm GMT) I would say there is a good chance of it being on sale directly from steam during the sale.
That being said, is it generally worth picking it up? I have a bunch of games on steam, but i know game controller support on linux can be spotty. Will it at least work with the majority of games through steam?

I do assume Humble Bundle keeps its own stats though. And without a windows box, (and not changing browser user agents strings) I know it counts me correctly.

Quoting: liamdaweOuch... Does that make me a bad supporter? Most of my purchases come through the Humble Bundle/Humble Store. Though, I only play on native linux, I do not even have a windows box, so I do get all of my play time credited correctly.Quoting: KohriasDoes it count as a Linux sale if I buy now? I'd definitely like to have it but I want the credit to go to our platform.Yes, of course. All purchases on Steam will count towards the platform it's purchased and played on. To repeat what I say every time: This is only an issue for purchases outside of Steam. I've had this confirmed from many developers.

Future Stardock games may come to Linux thanks to Vulkan

I am not happy that Stardock has not supported linux at all yet. The company was started in niche markets.
Originally, Stardock catered to the OS/2 market. The original Galactic Civilizations was OS/2 only when it first came out before the company expanded to the windows world. I still remember Process Commander from Stardock which was a must have utility for OS/2 back in the day. (Honestly, it has been so long, I forget the details on what it did; but I did buy/have it :D )
