LGSO - Organize Your Game Saves

I also don't like that it gets a random file from the internet, parses it and uses the entries in that file to just go about your home and copy and delete stuff there. No even asking for confirmation anywhere. It would quite easily be able to delete your whole home directory with a tiny mistake in that lgsolist.txt file...

Quoting: Tux1c 2it is fully usableYeah, and there's really no error checking at all that the directory creation, copying, etc. was successful before it rm -rf $OLD_DIR.

Yeah, I always suspected that most games do this. Had even thought about checking with Wireshark and adding rules for PeerGuardian a few times, but was always too lazy.

The great soundtrack is also available on Bandcamp: https://virt.bandcamp.com/album/shovel-knight-original-soundtrack [External Link]
The best thing is that there's even a link to the NSF file, so the soundtrack could be played on an actual NES. Or an emulating player like Nosefart [External Link].

This is my Arch laptop, and systemd-journal is taking up 60MB for who knows what.

Hmm, okay, that didn't go well. :/
Yes, I was probably pouncing too hard and too quickly there, sorry.
But, the thing is, I care deeply about being able to use the basic functions of a website with NoScript turned on. Or hell, even with a text-only browser like w3m. I get frustrated a lot by some other websites using JavaScript for what are basically frivolities, and then not working at all when JavaScript is not available.
The design degrading gracefully, as Speedster puts it, is something I personally very much want to see kept for this website.
EDIT: Also, there is the issue of accessibility. Screen readers in particular will probably get horribly confused by JavaScript'd layout animations.

Actually, I'm not sure. Save games in $XDG_DATA_HOME makes sense, yes. But shouldn't the game config be in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME instead?

Quoting: GuestSDL_GetPrefPath [External Link] function… I don’t actually know where it points to.Well, looking at the source, for Linux (and, apparently, FreeBSD), SDL_GetPrefPath("companyname", "gamename" ) points to $XDG_DATA_HOME/companyname/gamename/.
EDIT: Damn smilies...

Quoting: deBeauharnaisCreate a file named .hidden in the same folder than the unwanted folder.Except that is something only Nautilus (aka "GNOME Files", the GNOME file manager) does, nothing and no one else.

A few more very annoying ones:
~/BrokenAge/
~/Documents/KentuckyRouteZero/
~/Documents/Paradox\ Interactive/Crusader\ Kings\ II/
~/Documents/Saved\ Games/Redshirt/
~/Documents/SavedGames/BreachClear/
At least I always know where Ren'Py games save: in ~/.renpy/
