The game doesn't seem to load directly from Steam. If you run ig2 from the installation dir, that seems to work fine. Comes with libGLEW.so.1.10 on steam.
So far so good (as long a you run it from console :-/)

what I need to do is trace down xorg 1.19 so I can test those optimus changes properly, saying that though, time to get my Gentoo install working, back before UEFI it was easy, now it's just complicated!
I do miss Gentoo, hello darkness my old friend...

Feral Interactive's Linux ports may come with Vulkan sooner than we thought (UPDATED)

Using nvidia Prime is much easier imho, you're either gaming or "working" so trivial to jump between the modes.

Quoting: LinasBit off-topic, sorry, but can anyone give me any pointers on how to use Vulkan on an Optimus laptop? I currently rely on Bumblebee, but it does not seem to support Vulkan. As a fellow optimus user I ditched bumblebee about 6mths ago. It's unsupported and extremely fragile, got annoyed trying to get it working whenever it broke which was often.

The 'SMACH Z' gaming handheld is back on Kickstarter, no longer using SteamOS but their own Linux version

I'm very very tempted. It is pricey and I've already got a Pyra on pre-order (should do an update on that one soon perhaps), but yeah, EU4 on the go? I'd like more storage tbh, expandable storage shouldn't have been hard to add, you don't exactly need stupid performance for some games on the go, and memory cards are fairly cheap.
The amount of games I could play on this... Ah yeah, how much is that worth! I'm debating.

What have you been playing recently, and what do you think?

EU4, I didn't play the last DLC at all, so that plus "Rights of Man" is a good bit different from last time I played, having a blast.
AI personalities make it much more unique experience. Fantastic game, if i had to have just one game locked in a room, it would be this one.

Should just give Paradox my CC number and take the amount they want out of it, everything they've ever made that includes Linux support I've purchased.
Be good for the 1.3 patch to come out, look forward to picking this up again. Crusader Kings 2 after The reapers due is amazing fun as well.
Go Paradox!

Quoting: MyeulCI however miss evochron mercenary's newtonian accuracy.I'd love a reboot of original Linux game "Terminus", good Earth vs Mars proper physics. Not even sure the old game works on current systems, might have to dig it out.
