Wine detection seems a little odd to me; is that to solve the potential "I didn't know there was a native build" issue, or "features x,y,z are broken in Wine, so we want to warn about it for now" or something else? I would imagine most people running it in Wine would be well aware there is also a native version?

Quoting: fleskYes, it's on Steam now, and it seems to work without issues. Except, occasionally there are lines of dialogue which are not voiced, but I'm guessing that's not platform specific. Also, I don't think I got notifications for the achievements I unlocked, but that might be something I've turned off.

Quoting: fleskI also agree that it's disappointing when the Linux version is not put on Steam for whatever reason. Part of the reason I back crowdfunding campaigns, is because I want Linux to be seen as a more viable gaming platform. That doesn't work when the game missing from the most popular game store.
Completely agree!

Oh, he finally got the Linux build on Steam? Great! I was a bit annoyed that he was pointing us Linux users to itch.io (no complaint about itch.io specifically, but I didn't understand why the Linux build was missing on Steam).

Seems like they could include a "Gang Beasts.x86" that is just a shell script for launching the x86_64 version...

They've been through that exercise at least once before, haven't they? Red Flag Linux didn't seem to get much traction, although it was around for many years.

I was annoyed about that as well, until I remembered that the Kickstarter had episodes 2 and 3 listed as stretch goals:

I don't think they have said anything about future episodes recently, but presumably that's still the plan?

Quoting: crabelThe only thing to complain about is the cliffhanger ending. I guess, the game designers simply had to get the game out to earn money. So, they kinda stopped without really resolving everything ...
