This looks like a pricing mistake when they created the bundle ($5 instead of $50):

So you get 95% off two definitive edition Total War games, one with a native port and the other Gold on ProtonDB.

The question is more about why they oppose GOG releases.
I would guess it's like most of these types of issues - GOG just doesn't support it. On Steam, if you buy on Linux, Feral gets the money. So many developers have complained about GOG's (lack of) support for anything other than a plain Windows upload, I'm sure they don't have any support for revenue splitting between original and third party publishers.

games like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D in the 1990s, but I am feeling really exhausted with these kinds of games. There are just too many of them
Let's be honest, there were too many of them in the 90's. We all love and remember Doom and Duke3D, and Raven made some great games with the Doom engine, but the Build engine was freely licensed to many studios, that made pretty forgettable games. I'm still surprised seeing some of them crop up from Zoom, Sneg, or Nightdive. For example: the Witchaven games had comparatively gorgeous graphics when came out, but the gameplay on them was terrible.

I have to agree with Liam's point: a couple of breakout successes in any genre always leads to a proliferation of clones. Some of them will be great; most of them won't.

I thought that was the point of DirectX
Remember when their DirectX evangelist was fired for advocating they switch to OpenGL?

Insomniac's Spider-Man games are styled very much like the Arkham games - and I love them all. This one looks great as well.

the ported PS2 release of the game has a few differences from the original PC game
I played it on the PS2 years ago, and I was surprised how much less environmental detail the PC version had in comparison (at least for the beginning of the game, around the Statue of Liberty). The PS2 version did have long loading times in between sections, though.

Ugh, Aspyr. This should have been done by Nightdive.
Dunno if they have ever cooperated on anything, but I think they have the same owner these days? Anyway, I think both of have done some good work, though neither of them have been doing any native Linux for a while now. :(

how many sales are Capcom gonna have
It's certainly been a lot of them recently. I don't remember "Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster" or "Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny" in earlier ones, and the pricing is attractive compared to prior sales - but I don't want them that bad. My backlog is too large.

A non-VR version of their Westworld game might be interesting as well.

NVIDIA are investing $5 billion in Intel to develop new chips together

NVIDIA have been wanting to do some proper CPUs
It would have been a lot more interesting if they bought VIA, improved on their designs, and released a proper x86 (or more precisely - amd64) competitor.

I won't trust Nvidia to play well with Linux and they'll poison any efforts Intel have there
Historically, Intel has been very open source friendly. But they have been shedding all that stuff in droves the last couple months. AMD went through a similar phase when they were hurting financially. Would Nvidia's "clutch all the toys" culture infect Intel? Probably not that much, but you never know.

I do wonder what's gonna happen with the whole Intel ARC graphics
Rumors of its demise have been swirling for a while. Which is unfortunate; competition is good for the consumer. Unfortunately, it's taking Intel a bit too long to get competitive.

Nvidia and Intel will clash super hard
Nvidia tends to not play well with others (there's a reason AMD is the GPU of choice in most custom projects, including consoles), so it will be interesting to see how this pans out. Intel has tried the GPU chiplet thing before, with AMD graphics chips. That didn't seem to last long, but I don't think they ever said why...
