That seems rather... disappointing?

inXile's big party-based RPG 'Wasteland 3' launching May 19 next year, now up for pre-order

Quoting: wytrabbitTo all the people last year who immediately assumed inXile being acquired by Microsoft meant the end of their Linux ports, you should try to keep an open mind next time.
The game was crowd-funded with the promise of a Linux version, so I would say they had a prior obligation for this game. It's future games where the likelihood significantly decreases.

It's listed as being a Windows key, but you can get Shadow of Mordor for half the Steam price on Fanatical:

They also have Shadow of War at half the Steam sale price (but only temporarily), if you want to try it with Proton:

The FOSS rendering engine OGRE is being ported to Vulkan

Quoting: GoboBut for Ogre it means abandoning the roots of their name quite literally, as I think OGRE is the OpenGLRenderingEngine.
It was "OpenGL Next" before it was Vulkan. ;-)

Microsoft confirm their new Chromium-powered Edge browser is coming to Linux

Quoting: geekeningyo i thought windows 7 and server 2008 were going to be EOL january 14 2020 , but they are listed here under supported versions. curiously, edge is releasing on january 15 for all those platforms. its confusing.
Their intention is to compete with other browsers, and they can't do that if they don't run on the same platforms. Keeping it exclusive to Win10 hasn't worked out for them thus far.

Quoting: eldakingNow, if they ported Microsoft Office to Linux, that I would be interested in. Not that I want to use it (for my limited use, Libre Office is more than good enough), but it might be necessary for collaboration, and it would make transitioning to Linux a lot smoother.
If you can tolerate a web-based version, I understand Office365 works fine. No personal experience; I use Libre Office also.

Quoting: LinasChrome is becoming the new Internet Explorer. Quite literally.
I think Safari wins that one, although I agree with your points otherwise.

Valve rolls out the new Steam Library and Remote Play Together for everyone

Quoting: NezchanOh, that's funny. If you click the penguin icon to filter for Linux games, but have Proton enabled for all games, then it doesn't filter anything. Which is behaviour I thought they were going to fix from the old version, but apparently not.
Yep; that's why I immediately turned the option back off after trying it, and why I was much happier when they added the option to enable it on specific games.
