Thank you guys so much! :D I tried everything above mentioned and nothing changed. Same error messages. I gave up. No worries. It's not so important. I will install it some other time.

Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesIt's Ubuntu 18.04. I assure you that I tried every possible thing I found on the internet and NOTHING worked. Not a big thing because I work every day so it's better not to play at all. :D I will just wait a little and reinstall the OS.
Wasn't there a bug and in the Ubuntu 18.04 Steam package? (Not the first time I got the impression installing Steam on Debian is easier than on Ubuntu...)
There is something that definitely prevents it from installing. But anyway, big thanks to all of you trying to help. This a great community. I almost regret that I mentioned that problem. :D

Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesYes, I installed that .deb downloaded from Steam. What is the other option?
To be mean: That's the Windows way.
The Linux way would be to use your distribution's package. They've got Valve's package, too, but may incorporate their knowledge about their distribution. Like... package dependencies.
I tried it. It says that "this package has unmet dependencies". I give up...

Quoting: Power-Metal-GamesWhen launched, Steam is asking to install some dependences, tries to do it and says that packages are broken etc. At the and I get the same error that I mentioned.
That's a bit different then :P Try opening Synaptic Package Manager (it's installed by default on Mint but IIRC it needs to be installed separately on Ubuntu) and check for broken packages with Custom Filters --> Broken. You can try fixing them by doing Edit --> Fix Broken Packages
I tried what you suggested, but nothing helps. Damn thing refuses to work. Synaptic says that there is no broken packages. At the and nothing changed..
Never mind... I will reinstall the OS when I have the time, and that will certainly not be so soon. But, advantage is that DXVK will be even better until that time. :P

Thank you again for your suggestions! ^_^
Maybe you installed steam using .deb package from their web?
Yes, I installed that .deb downloaded from Steam. What is the other option?

Quoting: adamhmYou probably just need to install some missing dependencies. I made a meta-package for Mint 19.x/*Ubuntu 18.04 to install most commonly required dependencies if you're interested in trying that & seeing if it helps: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_try_linux_repostrewrite/post334 [External Link]
Thank you very much! I tried it, but it's not solving the problem.
When launched, Steam is asking to install some dependences.

Steam needs to install these additional packages:
libgl1-mesa-dri:i386, libgl1-mesa-glx:i386

Then says that these packages have unsatisfied dependencies: (something like that in my language)
libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 : depends on: libllvm6.0:i386 (>= 1:6.0~svn298832-1~)

At the and I get the same error that I mentioned.
But, it's not important. I will maybe reinstall this system soon. I'm not beginner. I already tried many times to solve this, but nothing helped. Thank you anyway!

This is just great! I imagine what will be in few months. Even Microsoft joined us.
Meanwhile, I can't even install Steam. I get the message: "You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libstdc++.so.6", blah, blah.. I tried everything that I find but nothing helps. Probably I destroyed my Ubuntu 18.04 by adding who knows how many different PPAs so maybe I should reinstall the OS and stop doing stupid things again.
Anyway, not a big deal because I work almost all the day, but I guess it's great when you see all this by yourself. :D

Quoting: YaakuroUE4 is still in crap state on Linux... Still many devs refuse to port games to Linux because UE4 lack on many features on Linux side and other features are broken or experimental - especially when we talk about Vulkan...
Yaakuro
As a someone who uses UE4 every day, I can confirm that this is true. UE4 do everything I need and do it very well. That comment was from someone who actually never really used UE4.

Are you the main maintainer of UE4 for Linux? It's really a very good job you are doing.
