Humble Store and GOG have an interesting selection of sales this week for Linux fans

I recommend dosbox for theme hospital. As it's a dos game, it's not native on windows or mac either, so it's on equal footing, just less automated as there is no installer for linux so you have to make the shortcuts yourself. I don't remember if I modified the dosbox config that comes with the gog windows installer or not, but it is not hard to tweak it. Your favourite distro most likely has dosbox in the repositories.

This news makes me super happy. I love theme hospital, but didn't dare get my hope up

Good news for Stardew Valley fans, as GOG now have the multiplayer beta for Linux gamers

Quoting: 14Even if I don't immediately act on information like this, it's nice to search for it on this website, like now. I want to buy a second copy of Stardew, this time without annoying Steam DRM, but I wasn't sure if GOG had the multiplayer beta version. Time to buy it now!
If you try to launch steam version of stardew valley outside steam it will give you an error message about it failing to initialize the steam api, but it will still launch and work perfectly, so I wouldn't call it DRM. You will still need steam for initial download and updates though.

The amount of Linux users on Steam has increased when going by daily active users

I don't think daily active users mean too much when it comes to active users in general. There are plenty of users on all platforms who play a few days a week, or even a few times a month who should be considered active, but doesn't contribute much to the average daily active users.

I wonder if we can use this older ratio of ~67:33 [External Link] monthly active players to daily active users. If we can then we get about 304,000(2014), 456,000(2016), 469,000(2018) active users, but this assumes we have the same usage pattern as in 2017.

Looks like 'Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive' may be coming to Linux

I managed to load my saves from my last playthrough by copying them to the right location. There is one flaw though, in the main menu it says quit to windows.

I already bought the originals and played in wine because I didn't think it would get any ports, but probably will rebuy them on steam if the remakes get ported. While I liked commandos when they were released I think desperados have more charm.

Farming sim 'Harvest Life' is now available on Linux

I've had some problem with loading the saves on arch linux, but it works on my ubuntu laptop with 960m using nvidia drivers. It also works on my desktop with 1060 if I use ubuntu rather than arch. As a side remark, on my laptop I also have intel hd graphics 4600, but that is too slow, like 5FPS or something.

I just bought it and like it. I have to say that the fishing is much easier than stardew valley. On the other hand I think combat is much more challenging. Farming is much quicker than in stardew valley as well, so you don't have to put as much effort into it.

I have only played early game in this though, so I have no idea if it changes.

Sam & Max Hit the Road
The Secret of the Monkey Island 1-4
X-Wing Alliance
The Witcher 3
Cuphead
Sam & Max hit the road and the three first monkey island games work in scummvm although I believe the remakes don't. You can get sam&max and curse of monkey island on gog, but I don't know if anyone sell the original MI and MI2.
