Raspberry Pi 500+ announced as their premium desktop keyboard PC

I think I might want to get an RPiSSd... wait... that sounds wrong :D

Still, might get one eventually, although most of the "want" probably comes from the nostalgic idea of an all-in-one keyboard computer. Those were the times, although in reality I wouldn't want to go back to ten minutes of screeching tape loading for a blocky pixel graphic jump'n'run.

Linux version of Easy Anti Cheat is not kernel level
Still intrusive, and still not welcome for single player games, or LAN with friends. Will skip this title; would have been interested otherwise.
But thank you everyone for including and discussing this information that is so important to dozens, nay hundreds, of us.

Sacred 2 Remaster announced from THQ Nordic

Wasn't it just minutes ago that Embracer was in the final throes of dying itself, killing off traditional redundant studios left and right in a desperate attempt to catch a breath? Did they manage to pilfer enough subventions to somehow ensnare new studios after they closed off the experienced expensive redundant ones?
Oh yes, we really are in the age of re-masters. Please welcomeembrace our new re-masters.

Quoting: EhvisThe games may not benefit from running them in Proton, but Proton benefits from testing those games.
Ehvis, I see, thank you. That at least puts it into a context that makes sense.

Edit, apologies for off-topic rantlet:
Spoiler, click me
I hope this whole quoting-but-not-actually-allowed-to-quote, subscribing-but-not-showing-as-subscriptions, forum-but-not-quite-forum nonsense can eventually get sorted out to an amicable end (definitely not blaming Liam here). I don't know what the "rationale" of the "responsible" policy makers was when they brexitedbrewed this cup of tea... but I kind of hope it keeps them awake at night, every night, for the rest of their days -- and nights. And long may they last.

Now playable: Stardust Skate, STAR OCEAN THE DIVINE FORCE, Champions of Anteria, IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover, Click&Fight, Tunnet, WRC Generations, Post Mortem.
Last time I checked, Tunnet was a native Linux game built on the Godot engine, why would it supposedly require, or even just benefit from, Proton now?

EDIT: Ditto Factorio,
* Now playable (previously worked with Proton Experimental):
**…
** Factorio
** …
has had a rock solid, stable, and performant native Linux client since about the dawn of times. Linux gaming at its best, not for a split millisecond would I ever consider running it through Proton?!

Stop Killing Games consumer movement hits some major milestones

even the higher-ups are part of the team that made that game happen. It's THEIR baby, too
Exactly. And they are the ones who know for a fact that, in twenty years' time, nostalgia will kick in (if it even takes that long), and peopleconsumers will be ready for the second round. And who is to say there can be only one remaster/-vival/-imagined/-make cashgrab.

Who would have believed in the nineties when you told them it wouldn't take half a century before someone wearing Imperial TIE fighter insignia would become administrator of NASA, of all things? I'm not even blaming Disney... I think LucasArts already laid the foundations themselves, and besides society always was what it is. But after all these decades I still can't wrap my head around the turn things have taken. All Hail Emperor Ming, I guess. Oh wait, wrong franchise. Hope I didn't jinx it.

Also, Unity – yet another missed opportunity.
I'm not going to touch this one, although I won't gripe if it can bring forward a new generation of rebels, right now would actually be an excellent time, the Death Star isn't fully operational yet ;)

PS.: Yeah I heard that allegedly Stormtrooper EM-88TR has been grounded... for now.
