Haven't been able to dedicate that much time for playing the demos, but I have had time for few at least.
Park Full of Cats [External Link] is continuing the cat themed hidden object games and in the demo there's not that big changes in the game mechanics compared to the previous game. Which is fine as not every hidden object needs to be inventive. Pushing out just more content is fine too. These games cost peanuts after all.
Also played Synergy [External Link] as well. There's nice sci-fi flavor and art looks like it's inspired by Moebius. All the staples of builder games are there including some bit more rarely seen ideas. There's some hints that the flora has some diversity.
Demo ended right when things started to go from bad to worse. Second try might go little bit better as there are ways to protect from the heat waves, I just didn't know to build in the shade.

Spec Ops: The Line gets delisted on Steam - you can still buy it elsewhere for now

Quoting: AnzaI do have one extra key in Humble if somebody wants it. Can't guarantee that it works as AFAIK available keys are tied to sales on Steam. So remember to activate it right away. The key found a good home. Good news is that Humble at least has keys left.
There's small possibility it gets added back to the store. That happened with DuckTales Remastered. However DuckTales as brand is stronger, so the chance for Spec Ops: The Line are quite slim.

Get a bunch of great digital board games in this Humble Bundle

Lot of the games were part of another bundle earlier. So would be buying this for the DLC (last time I played Terraforming Mars as boardgame, it had several of the expansions) and maybe for Carcassone.
I treat the digital boardgames more as a practice for the physical boardgame. I have played Love Letter, Terraforming Mars and Splendor as physical versions and there was some benefit of the digital version being strict with the rules.

Marvel's Midnight Suns and Two Point Campus headline Humble Choice for January 2024

As for the Two Point Campus, the native version was bit buggy last time when the game had free weekend. So I'll have another chance to do some testing. Though Proton probably works nice too, if I actually want to play it.
I have Red Lantern already, though didn't get it to work. Not lot of test results to figure out what combination works. Two people who get it to work use NVidia cards, so could be that.

Quoting: scaineA mate of mine raved about Midnight Suns and was sad I refused to buy it (cos Denuvo). However, this bundle is worthwhile just for Roguebook in my opinion, a game I've raved about quite a few times in the past (and more recently).Roguebook has been sitting in my wishlist for a while. Humble Choice seems to be one way of helping me to get my wishlist bit smaller (though just removing games that I probably will never end up buying is even more effective).

Baldur's Gate 3 wins Game of the Year in the 2023 Steam Awards

Quoting: BeamboomVoting what you know is also easier. However if you get past the few baffling AAA wins, there's plenty of indies in the winners too. Which more or less means that indies have a chance, they need just enough publicity. And big publishers don't control all the media like they used to, so even the stranger indie games might get featured at least somewhere. I doubt something like Lethal Company has had big advertising budget. Most Innovative Gameplay: StarfieldThat right there is the only documentation one need against user driven awards. It really is a general popularity contest. The more users, the more votes.
And that's not always the purpose of an award. Like here.
Festive Co-Op Games

Though I read discussion that playing a traitor on public server might get you banned as traitor might look lot like a griefer.

Quoting: PhiladelphusI looked at details on the Barotraumas traitor mode and it looks like there's in universe explanation of getting picked up by rescue shuttle. Being in the rescue shuttle doesn't seem actually be requirement as traitor mission can be successful even if traitor dies.Quoting: Purple Library GuyTraitor mode. On a submarine. I can see some . . . basic . . . drawbacks to treason in that situation. That's pretty par for the course for games with traitors, since the win condition for them is usually something like "stop the mission" or "kill all/enough good players". And since killing all good players will stop the mission, and a good way to kill all good players is to do something that kills all players, and there usually isn't a stipulation that the traitors have to be alive, well…

Plenty of good games mentioned.
Portal 2 [External Link] is nice if you missed the co-op for some reason and have just one friend available.
Barotrauma [External Link]. In this submarine game, beginning is pure chaos, but it's part of the fun. Bigger submarines require more people, but you can add bots. And if pure co-operation gets boring, there's traitor mode. Campaign takes lot of time, but offers more sense of progression.
Then there's plenty more that have co-op multiplayer, but I have only played singleplayer.

Second round voting is bit less interesting for me too. First round is fun because putting games into the categories needs bit thinking and categories that you don't know about can be skipped.
Second round is bit too random. Also it would be nice to be able to play the nominees to give them a chance. Now either choice is to pick what you have played or just think what's most suitable based bit on popularity.
