Try a reinstall possibly? and make check integrity of install, I have had my rust install borked so many times.

I can log and play on any server apparently normally, but only until I hit an ore. At the first spark the game hangs and (after killing the game) I'm unable to log in again.

I am super excited about this, I have been developing in unreal engine for months, I just hope they improve the native editor on linux since it is extremely complicated and buggy in current form.

needs to be wiped more frequently to get more players on it. Waiting for face punch to do it will take a month.

Well if arch is having this issue I imagine those on openSUSE tumbleweed hit it weeks ago? Did tumbleweed have the compat package in place to help with this?

Picked up the whole bundle at $15 looks like some good games, finally over 200 Linux games in my steam library, Bundle star has a great 1$ bundle loaded with Linux flavor

Well from what I noticed of the 200+ Linux games I have the only ones I noticed broke after updating was feral interactive games. SO figured this was an issue with their ports, if not my mistake.
