Valve have some serious competition, with the Epic Games Store being announced
9 Dec 2018 at 8:30 am UTC

Well they released the store the same day as Season 7 for Fortnite.
Since they apparently had around 80Million people play last month over the course of the month.
Fortnite is pretty much now their Store advertising tool and releasing it at the start of a new season lots of people are going to see it!
Also starting next week a game in the epic store will be available to play for free during a 2 week period.
Then a different game goes on a free 2 week period after the last game, the first game is subnautica.
So fortnite free advertising and try a game for 2 weeks for free to see if you want to buy it.

Valve gave out more details about Artifact, including some public APIs and pre-order is up

Only difference between, Artifact and all the other CCG which aren't TCG because you don't trade.
Is they don't give anything away for free, just like if you were playing any game in proper table top.
Lot's of people are gutted they can't F2p cards out of steam to sell them on the steam market place... everyones crying because they feel they are somehow being cheated out of something...
Then don't play it.
I'm looking forward too it, all the annoying people are effectively phasing themselves out of the game which is probably another reason why steam choose the route they have.
People who actually want to play it, will buy it and will get enjoyment out of it.

Guess like anything, just learn and understand how to use the starter decks first.
Get a feeling for how the game plays.
Theres going to be a lot of people playing the game in the same boat as us (not being very good at these games).
The only way we will get better is by playing and watching other people play!

Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment have officially joined Microsoft

Honestly don't think the hand full of companies they picked up will destroy Linux gaming.
Or not make Linux a viable platform, they all made average games at best.
Would say at a guess they were the only ones willing to pidgin hole them selves too one platform in the future.

So much for wasteland 3.
Be curious to see if their comments on keeping their Kick starter commitments will be honored when it is all said and done.

Guess they need to get as many people interested in the game as possible because it's buy to play so need to get that initial player base.
