In fact, now I come to think of it, the developers of Kerbal Space Program recommend using a backup if you're using mods.

Those are all good-looking games, and I can't directly comment on RoTR yet (although the original reboot looked pretty darned good to me), but one thing that really puzzled me about Mankind Divided was why it was so heavy on system resources considering the quality of its graphics. It can look great, don't misunderstand me, but it absolutely doesn't look anything like as good as Hitman, Metro, or TR on the settings I'm forced to run it at here.

To be fair, the only Feral game I've ever had any trouble with despite barely meeting the minimum spec (actually slightly under it, in that case) was Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. And even that was playable. I think I'll wait to hear how others get on, though.

As I've said before, realistic racing games are probably the genre I like the most, but I have to say OutRun Online Arcade is one of my favourite XBox 360 titles (and let's be honest: it has a lot). If this does non-specific-'90s-2.5D-racing-games as well as that updated OutRun - and it certainly looks right - it'll be an absolute winner.

I thought about that (I've done it with other games, in fact), but the requirements seem surprisingly heavy and the process doesn't appear to be a case of simply downloading a binary and firing it up. As g000h says, it looks more trouble than it's probably worth. Especially when it seems there are plenty of friendly multiplayer servers around.

Trying the GoL server is definitely on my to-do list now.

Although I got Rust ages ago in a bundle, I've hardly played it because the multiplayer-only thing puts me off. I'm not against multiplayer (much), but I like to be able to practice quietly while I learn the ropes without being killed every thirty seconds. The GOL server sounds interesting, though. Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime...
