Teeworlds, the classic free multiplayer platform battler is still being updated and it's looking good

Keep it simple, just think of the grappling hook as a way to get to higher ledges than you can double-jump to and you'll be fine. In a match, there's usually no time to fiddle around with the hook since ppl will be intent on force-feeding you a lead sammich as soon as possible.
PS.
You can probably find ppl willing to play a match or two in the GoL Discord. :)

Quoting: MaathI tried this game many years ago. I found it excruciatingly difficult, and could not master the use of the grappling hook. I don't know how people can handle it.This game is very well suited for casual playing, quick matches and all out pew pew. The controls are really simple. You should give it another go!

Liam just educated me in the arts of deflecting grenade shells with his face :)

Imagine if Warcraft III had been a Gold Mine Foreman business simulator. Happy with that "sequel"?
TV1 is a puzzle game.
TV2 adds tycoon-esque resource management into the mix.
Sequel? It's not even the same type of game. I suggested to the devs that they should call it Train Valley Tycoon or something instead since it diverts so far from the original. Sadly, they didn't agree.
If you enjoy riveting stuff like transporting thing A from place 1 to place 2, and transport thing B from place 3 to place 2 in order to make thing C and transport it to place 1 in order to now make thing D which you transport to place 4... then TV2 might be a game for you.

Quoting: razing32WAITThey ran a super limited pre-order 2 week run in December for the extra luxurious Beast box. Beside the Beast box being impossibly epic, there was also a whole bunch of excellent stuff included like a signed print, T-shirt, pewter statue and much more.
166$ for a doom wad ???

Still haven't forgiven the devs for abandoning the excellent formula in Train Valley 1. :><:
Maybe I'll give this a new chance someday. They do support Linux with both games, which is awesome.

Still a bit miffed about the 166 US$ price tag on the limited edition Beast box. It would have been very, very, very nice to have that stunning piece of box art on my shelf. Had my finger on the trigger many times back in December, but the price stayed my hand each time. :S:
The normal box isn't as cool imho, plus it's still a hefty 40 US$... but the free version doesn't include the inevitably epic Buckethead soundtrack. Oh well.
At least it's coming soon! ^_^
