The MMO Albion Online is now available on Steam, no keys for current owners

I am playing a little almost everyday. Mostly improving skills and getting some silver. Waiting for some PVE improvement. Missing the feeling of going in an adventure with unknown results and rewards.

If the current DEVs dont have criativity to do something nice about PVE they could outsource it to some other company. So much potential in the game.

Have anyone tried Elite Dangerous? The complete game, not only the demo.

Cause there is already a demo running DXVK on youtube.

Miss the game so much, since I migrated to Linux.

Quoting: KelsI like the trophy fishing concept. Fishing in MMOs goes back at least to WoW if not before, but I don't recall hearing about one with that kind of competition/showoff idea.
If you get really way back, Ultima Online had fishing too. If I am not mistaken.

Just hope the trophy is exciting enough to keep people going for fish.
Fishing was always boring on every MMO I tried before Albion.

I am not aware of any new major MMO being in active development. Not even for Windows. There are a couple smaller projects, but nothing remotely in AAA territory. And since these things take many years to make, I don't think we're going to see a Linux AAA MMO anytime soon. My biggest hope for a remedy is WINE getting able to run Elder Scrolls Online (again - it used to run win WINE even, but they broke it by removing OpenGL support).

Currently, Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars The Old Republic run very well in WINE, so at least we CAN play AAA MMOs in Linux.
I had such high hopes for Wakfu, which runs natively under Linux, but from what I gather the economy (and ecology!) is a total mess for new players now, and like a lot of games just abandoned the intro stuff in favour of more late-game content. Great design and really interesting combat mechanics, but difficult to get in the rhythm of.
We got StarCitizen coming sometime in the future.
Probably 1 year after a windows release.
But the windows is still 1 year from release, so total might be 2 years.
