Quoting: appetrosyanIf they can fit into the power vacuum left by AMD in the high end,I don't think there is any vacuum. AMD are working on new architecture for high end, so Intel will be competing like others.

The Linux version of 'The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep' to be released with the Director's Cut

As I backer, I surely don't like it. But I understand what's causing it. The annoying thing is, that in the past inXile somehow managed to avoid these kind of delays for Linux users.

Quoting: SalvatosYou'd think inXile would know to make their code cross-platform from the get-go by now. This ain't the first title they release on Linux. It pretty much is cross platform, their issue is basically supporting release cycle for all versions at once. They decided to concentrate on Windows one, and release for Linux only once it reaches major feature level ("Director's Cut"). Annoying for Linux users, but saves them quite a lot of resources.

Comment from inXile:
With the engine update, we're going to be looking into Vulkan.

Quoting: scaineGood shout. I'd happily buy both when they're available.I backed both, so I'm surely interested in them not failing to release for Linux, even if they are delayed :)

That's good. I wonder if they are going to use Vulkan in UE4 on Linux.

Intel GPUs with open drivers will surely make Nvidia usage on Linux dip even further. Not sure if it will be enough to push Nvidia to open their driver at last. But even if they don't, Nvidia will be just less used.
Personally, I'm waiting for AMD's new architecture cards to come out, which are supposedly post Navi. But Intel is very welcome too.

Quoting: DuncI played TW1 after TW2, and never actually completed TW2 on the PC (I got almost to the end and thought, “Yeah, I remember what happens now. That'll do.”), so I don't have a proper “history” of saves.TW3 works around that, by asking your what choices you made in the past (it's built into the story). If you provide a save, that part is skipped.

Your saves should be compatible, but you can start over if you want, using TW1 save. In order to use it with the Linux version, place your TW1 final save in

Quoting: einherjarI just finished The Witcher 1 and started with Witcher 2.You can get GOG version of TW2 here, using the code provided by the Steam version: https://www.gog.com/witcher/backup [External Link]
Sadly I couldn't use my Witcher 1 savegames. Seems not to work, because I bought TW1 and GOG and TW2 on steam :-(
So I do not have my nice Swords and less Orens.
Otherwise I had lots of fun with TW1 and will play all three titles to enjoy the whole story.
