Whatever solution it was, it remains weird, because developers didn't explain it.

Quoting: SolitaryThe reason might be political... to hurt GOG, but not the customers that already paid for the game.I doubt it would hurt GOG, but it would hurt those who can't buy the game now.

What else should we assume, especially when developers didn't care to explain anything? I don't see it as a positive thing.

Looks like the last available version from GOG is finally working and not hanging on start anymore! That's some progress. I can finally play the game.
It's a shame developers have pulled the game from GOG altogether for new buyers. Another Steam exclusive attitude it seems.

Well optimized D3D9 over Vulkan would be great indeed. It's probably a more massive effort than D3D11 tough.

Quoting: rick01457On the bright side, MS money put into these developers could be good for story-rich rpg gaming.I don't think it would matter if it would be DRMed MS-only, story rich RPG gaming.

MS aren't even trying to hide their trash approach.

Quoting: mortigarSo much for wasteland 3.I actually don't expect MS to violate crowdfunding commitments. But I totally expect them to axe all DRM-free and Linux releases of future games.
Be curious to see if their comments on keeping their Kick starter commitments will be honored when it is all said and done.

Quoting: NeverthelessHere is a Twitter answer of inXile to someone who asked about future GOG support:So, current commitments will be kept (MS aren't as dumb as to violate them), but:

Beyond that, it's hard to say. That's not reassuring at all. It means inXile didn't include DRM-free releases as a requirement in the acquisition. Too bad.
