Apparently it doesn't work in some cases when libraries are loaded directly from system32.

I don't think that's enough. That's why the installation script replaces dlls in system32.

Is there any way to customize roll speed? Adjusting roll sensitivity doesn't have any effect. It's way too fast by default.

Just tested GOG version. If the game gives you "illegal instruction" error, use the script without bundled libraries, and make sure to exclude VLC bundling from there too. It works fine after that and no problem with cutscenes either despite using system VLC.
