Anyway, I don't think it's a big issue for dxvk, since it just changes very isolated area (two DLLs). Even if it's never upstreamed, something like winetricks can offer installing it, like many other things.

This suggests, that someone is already sponsoring the project, but it's just a guess. Given various compatibility efforts by Valve, I wouldn't be surprised if them or someone similar is backing it.

Ryzen 2 can help there though, since they raised base clocks by default and it supports better boost.
