We released most of our games for Linux and Mac. Nevertheless, at this point, we do not want to promise something we might not be able to deliver. On the technology side, Iron Harvest is much more complex than our other games, for example because of the multiplayer features. Therefore, we are going to evaluate Linux/Mac versions as soon as we take a look at the consoles.

Not sure how it translates here into Vulkan usage, but it would depend on the way it's used. If it will be used to create inaccessible data for users in their own system (HDCP like lunacy) - that would be evil. If user will have control over it - it won't.

Shield is ARM though, so good luck finding any ARM Linux games. You may be can run ScummVM and DosBox and some other emulators. Plus of course FOSS engine based games that can be built for ARM. Smach Z is x86_64, so there are tons of games already plus all the above. Plus Wine performance on ARM would be abysmal since it requires emulating the CPU (through Qemu). Which is not a problem on x86_64.

Paying huge amount of money for a device that will be stuck with an ancient kernel because there are no updates to the controller driver sounds like a very bad choice.
