A look at some great Linux & SteamOS racing games available in 2017

Is it a coincidence, or something else is going on, but very few if any racing games for Linux come out DRM-free. I don't think any of the major titles listed above were released on GOG, itch.io or Humble. Unless I missed some of them.

UPDATE: Correction, looks like Humble have the DRM-free version of Distance.

I usually drag windows to the correct monitor with alt+click if they show up on the wrong one. Some windows require the Steam overlay to be open for this to work.

Also, I think you have less trouble if your primary monitor is on on the left (which has almost never been the case for me, sadly).
If things get messed up consistently for some application, KWin offers quite flexible windows rules for that, which can assign specific window to specific screen.

Sounds pretty good, but I'm also interested in something a bit less arcade-y and more story focused, but I guess that will have to wait until Star Citizen. So far Linux really lacks games like Freelancer [External Link] (which had a pretty good balance of story and action).

I'd suggest to use regular wine with minimal patches required for the game. Some reported, that full staging makes performance actually worse. But that was a while ago. You can compare for yourself, and choose what performs better.
