Linux user share remains above macOS in the latest Steam Survey

Arguing any abstract arguments when they literally made already existing games on their own platform unplayable is pointless. Gamers care about games, not about Apple telling them "your games you paid for are now broken, have fun".

Quoting: poiuzThey dropped support for old games. So what?So it means they don't give two sh*ts about gamers. They do whatever the heck they want for their own purposes. Gamers being completely not a consideration. QED.

Quoting: poiuzConsoles drop support for the previous generations all the time & people seldom care. Worst case scenario they just buy a remaster. Eventually there will be a community driven compatibility layer (if somebody cares).I don't get any of your arguments. Apple is a PC vendor, so dropping 32-bit support and not supporting OpenGL / Vulkan directly harmed gaming on their own platform. It's glaringly obvious they don't care about this use case, Steam or not Steam. They deliberately make things worse, something Linux never has done for gamers.

Good to see Wine Wayland moving forward.
What's the story with winesync though? I'm building wine-esync from staging, but I'd prefer upstream support.

Good. I don't get why anyone would use macOS for gaming. Apple completely doesn't care about gamers and does the opposite from supporting them. From not supporting OpenGL and Vulkan to dropping 32-bit support and so on.

I went for even bigger 7900 XTX and Sapphire Nitro+ model for it is especially huge. But the upside is that it's really silent and runs relatively cool even under heavy load. So massive heat sink is useful.

Quoting: slaapliedjeFunny enough, the PCB was the same size, but the heat sink just hung off of it about 4 inches further. It came with a bracket to stabilize it better... GPUs are just getting silly in size.Congrats for switching to AMD.

So far it's not free on GOG and itch.io, but I suppose the developer just didn't get to changing that yet:

It's kind of funny they position 7800 XT as 1440p gaming card. I guess their baseline is 60 fps for this designation? Something like CP2077 runs at ~140 fps with 7900 XTX at 2560x1440, so I'd say it's a good 1440p card? 7800 XT wouldn't be enough.

Quoting: omer666I agree. I'm looking into building a new rig soon and I was looking for a recent game to benchmark the whole stuff. Turns out there's no interesting title for me that's less than 2-3 years old. I'd want to try Cyberpunk 2077 now that it's less bug-heavy but turns out it's still 60 bucks and with the upcoming extension being quite pricey as well, I guess it's a no-go for me.They make sales for it periodically. Though I think $60 for such sized game is normal.

Quoting: Avehicle7887Reminds of when I played Grimrock 2, the jaggies were horrible until I learned about basalt :grin:For some reason game's anti-aliasing has very bad performance, framerate is tanked completely. And their temporal AA option is worse. VkBasalt SMAA works with good performance in comparison.
