Quoting: KallestofelesAnd Witcher3 is working... playably... I know I'm spamming... I'm just still hyped...
You need to mention for people that it's not stock Wine and not stock staging either. Otherwise it's misleading and will only cause confusion for those who won't notice your video description. So be considerate.

Quoting: LeopardAnd sadly ; Wine usage is becoming a piracy tool.
Stop this nonsense please. Otherwise, should we also claim that wheel has become a crime tool, so it needs to be avoided?

Quoting: LeopardIf Wine gaming really becomes a thing , we would never see in house ports or official supports.
Don't we already have this situation? We either have a few developers who make proper native ports, or we have developers who use cross platform engines to begin with. The rest are using very unportable engines, and then use contractors to wrap them in Linux compatible APIs (Feral, VP and etc. do that). So Wine isn't any worse than the last variant, and in fact I'd argue it's better because it's FOSS. If you complain about Wine, you should also complain about companies not making native ports, but using wrappers from Feral and others.

And "official support" is usually very short lived when wrappers are concerned. History demonstrated that. And in contrast, Wine developers can still fix bugs which affect games which came out a long time ago.

Wine 2.10 released, nothing massive this time around

Quoting: KallestofelesWitcher 3 being playable now, FINALLY! =)
It's still not stock Wine staging, but needs sample_c_lz patch, so you'd need to build Wine from source. But otherwise yes. It's already very playable.

See this thread for more detailed discussion.

Are you ready for some more Tyranny? Something is being teased for tomorrow

They still didn't fix the annoying lack of LFS bug [External Link]... I think the reason they are stuck with 32-bit is some mess of Paradox integration libraries that they are using, which don't exist in 64-bit.

There was a pretty major breakthrough patch by Józef Kucia, which fixes a lot of issues in The Witcher 3. But it's not in master or staging yet (you'd need to apply it manually for now). See here.

Quoting: numasanA game like Blasphemous look 10x better IMHO.
In this genre, Slain [External Link] is also pretty good. And unlike nll_a above, I actually appreciate that it's done in pixel art style. As long as it's not overdone (way oversimplified pixelation, like same games), it's good.

Quoting: ShmerlConsider some characters making rolls and other acrobatic moves in heavy plate armor(!).
Not that far from reality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hlIUrd7d1Q [External Link]
Is that real? Quite surprising indeed.

Quoting: razing32Cool if it gets released on Linux , but , is she fighting in high heels ? By the end of that castle , crystal skin will be the last of her problems...
Highly impractical clothing used for action is a common trope in games. Female characters are more commonly affected by it. This trope is often made fun of:

Which doesn't mean male characters aren't affected by other tropes. Consider some characters making rolls and other acrobatic moves in heavy plate armor(!). Yeah, right.

GOG Connect adds more games, plus a huge summer sale now on

Quoting: MayeulCHere come a thought: they could partner with publishers to offer free steam key when you buy a game on GOG (or redeem it to your linked account; this would avoid keys being resold).
It doesn't make sense really. GOG is competing with Steam, and giving out Steam keys means promoting their competitor. So if anything like that would happen, it would be Steam's project (i.e. Steam connect or whatever).
