Looks like Rome: Total War might be coming to Linux, according to Feral's port radar

It looks like they aren't working on Shadow Warrior 2 after all. See here [External Link].

Q: Do you plan to ever release any (future) ports on GOG? I don't think there are any games from you there yet.

A: Not at the moment, nope.
If it means not in the near future, then it probably rules out Shadow Warrior 2, since Flying Wild Hog surely would be interested in releasing the Linux version on GOG.

I still don't get though, whether it's a coincidence, or Feral purposefully intend to release through Steam only. The more releases they make, the less likely it's a coincidence IMHO.

An update on the Xenonauts Linux port that's only for 'legacy customers'

I just hope they won't remove it from GOG, without asking users first if they prefer to keep it as is or not.

Dying Light & Dead Island Definitive Edition might soon work on Mesa

Good, and note that original developers (porters?) completely ignored this issue. They could clarify all these questions a long time ago.

Wine 2.8 released with asynchronous Direct3D command stream

From what I understood, problem with Metro games is lack of support. Developers did a mediocre job of porting them to Linux, and now refuse to fix bugs. I think it simply doesn't pass GOG QA requirements.

The Linux port of Xenonauts is not supported and was only made for 'legacy customers'

No support (for Linux, while Windows version is supported) = unprofessional developers.

Witcher 3 has improved somewhat, in sunlit areas. But it still has missing surfaces, and there are some new distortions now:

FPS is lower than before too, but I'm not using full staging patches.

Haemimont Games & Paradox announce 'Surviving Mars', a management strategy game

Quoting: rustybroomhandleVictor Vran as a character is about as "defined" as a dead insect smear on a car windshield. And how does "story" figure in the multiplayer
That may be, I didn't play the game yet. If the story there doesn't have any meaning, then not providing a selection is indeed more questionable.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleEither way, if someone says they don't like playing a game because of whatever, it's nobody's job to argue with them.
We aren't coming here to "do the job" of arguing. We are discussing the topic, no? I don't see any problem asking to explain someone's position.

Quoting: KeyrockThis looks good and I like Haemimont's work. I wonder if this will be more serious or follow in the tradition of Tropico's humor?
Judging by the trailer, it looks more satirical than serious.

Quoting: KimyrielleI skipped on Victor Vran because I am not too eager to play games that force me to play a male character, at least not unless premade female characters become just as normal.
As @Xpander was pointing out, how can you apply it to any defined story character? It's one thing if you have a generic character builder in a flexible RPG, but it's another thing if some story aspects are locked. Do you also refuse to play any adventure game, because they don't let you selecting the character? Games can be quite different in this aspect.

Since it's not their own Paradox Studio who have some serious issues with Steam lock-in in all their recent games, do they plan to release it on GOG? Other games from Haemimont came out there (Victor Vran for example).
