Casual Clickers 'AdVenture Capitalist' And 'Time Clickers' Now On Steam For Linux

Please make sure you followed all steps. I had the same problem, as others. But with following all the steps it's confirmed to work:
If you have questions about a single step, let me know.
- Disable cloud save for this game onlyThe game works with steamcloud disabled (disabled for this game only, no need to completely turn of cloud save). But it's important to delete all the associated files, otherwise there is always a faulty gamestate the game loads. Those files may only be written to disk after exiting the Steam client.
- Close Steam client (will write all files to disk)
- Delete all settings (I used Windows for this, shame on me):
Linux:
- Delete files UserGameStats_"your id"_346900.bin and UserGameStatsSchema_346900.bin in ~/.local/share/Steam/appcache/stats
- Delete folder ~/.config/unity3d/Hyper Hippo Productions Ltd.
- Delete folder ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/"your id"/346900
- Start Steam, set launch options for Adventure Capitalist LC_ALL=C %command%
- Start the game, play a bit, close the game, restart game to check if it worked
- If it works, you`re safe to enable steam cloud save again and upload the new files. Works crossplatform then.
If you have questions about a single step, let me know.

That locale bug is a bit annoying. Especially if you messed up your cloud save with it. Then it even doesn`t work on other platforms anymore and you have to completely reset the gamestats if you want to continue playing. Or you`ll have to wait for an update from the developers.

Alien: Isolation Looks Like It's Coming To Linux, Oh God, Don't Make Me Play It

How cool is that? I love the Alien franchise, and I'm really happy that this game has signs of Linux support.
Slowly I don't know anymore, what I (really) whish to have on SteamOS/Linux :) Lately Evolve shows signs of Linux support, now Alien: Isolation. And I asked them already on Gamescom if there will be a Linux version. Finally those hopes have good chances to come true.
Exciting times for Linux gaming.
Even though I already completed the main game, I'll be more than happy to enjoy the DLCs on Linux then.

Don't Starve Together Now In Beta

Just bought the Frontier pack (and gifted it to somebody, so the extra copy of Don't Starve didn't get lost), and got Don't Starve Together gifted back. Redemption worked fine, but game is in my library only visible, when I set the filter from SteamOS + Linux to (all) Games.
Opting into the OSX/Linux beta branched was successfull then, but still no install button. Rightclicking on the game an then pressing install leads to the message:
"Don't Starve Together Beta is not available on your current platform."
Using Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS 64bit (german locale).
Any ideas? Restarting Steam or changing content servers didn't help.
PS: Same on my mac.
edit: Strange, just after waiting for a while, the install button appeared. Now I could install it on Linux (which I rebooted once in the meatime) and OS X (which was not rebooted). It seems to have been just a matter of time.

My guess would be Company of Heroes 2.
Nevertheless my wishes are: Alien: Isolation (!), Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Evolve

Gearbox Looking At Customer Interest For A Linux Version Of Borderlands

Yeah. That's good news.
Even though Borderlands 2 is working quite decent with wine, the performance on Windows is still better. For example, I've got an issue, where the game has a 500ms lag every 5 seconds. In this time the movement jumps somewhere, but is not continuous. In fact I'm rebooting when playing Borderlands 2.
But not only Borderlands 2 would be a candidate, also Aliens: Colonial Marines. As it works also quite good with wine, but I would prefer a supported native client.
So maybe the Valve statistics of wine users playing Borderlands 2 may not be the truth. I think most gamers prefer good performance, they may have tested it with wine, but still reboot into Windows for gaming.
Porting Borderlands 2 to Linux would be a great thing, another big title on our favorite platform.
